It helps any of them that stumble across Hizeri/Mind make a boatload of money off an item with very little practical value. >_>

"Officially", MST lowers tech damage. But 5 MST is roughly one less damage. So even though techers have higher MST, the hunter-types' higher HP means that they're taking less of a proportion of their max HP in damage from each tech.

I have heard that this stat affects your resistance to spell effects freeze, sleep, confuse ect... I recently put a feril line on my acrofighter, so I lost an arm slot and gained a head slot I added a sori/mind +75 mst and I havent been hit with a status effect since. My acros' eva is around 1200 w/ the feril line though so that could be the reason, but I believe the sori/mind has something to do with it.

No MST does not effect status effects, stamina/end does that, mst can be considered dfp for techs.

me and a friend were actually going over this a few times.

with my MST as MF i was taking roughly 200 or so damage less than him as a GM with half the MST or less? not sure now how much he had but it wasn't a significant enough boost. especially as MF with only 1890 hp. i was taking about 900 damage from buffed olgohmons grants to his 1100-ish damage from the same enemies on whitebeast S2. we tested this also with the foie from gaozorans, and in reality you're taking about as much if not more damage on an hp basis as a force than someone with a higher HP lower mst job would.

anyway basically. mst is almost useless to have in a head slot unless you have nothing else to use as a fighter/gunner, then it will only slightly decrease the elemental damage but not enough to REALLY matter.

as far as the status effect thing. dogg1000 has it right. mst doesnt effect that in the least. your endurance/stamina is what gives you more resistance to things like megid one hit ko freeze burn virus etc. also the resist / units help these of course, but mst does not.
