MY FILE MYSTERIOUSLY GOT CORRUPTED-NOOOOOO!

I had a level 80 HuMar, and quite a few rares.
Now I've started over and I'm back at level 10!
How do these things happen?

what kinda memory card are you using when you got corrupted? when it happened to me, I actually had a generic 3rd party mega card. switched to Nintendo very fast! lol

You could blame interrupting during a save, such as powering off too soon or having a power outage or exeriencing a software bug. I just hug murphy's law.

I was using a Nintendo 256. I don't remember turning it off in mid-save or anything, but I guess it could have happened.

I'm afaid that's I'm possible to do so.You can't copy PSO files to another memory card.

Question, did it tell you that you had to erase your files, or was your character just gone?

I got corrupted too! Recently. All my 4 characters on the memory card got corrupted.

hunewearl lvl 109
humar lvl 93
fonewearl lvl 48
ramarl lvl 10

i was in the japanese ship, i went inside a room and while it was saving when i got it. it froze.
i thought it was just one of those regular FSOD it but it wasnt. i turned off my GC, then turned it back on (coz it wouldnt let me reset). then there it was.

it went something like "Your file has been corrupted, you must delete... " blah blah. then it had that option "yes" "no" clicked NO like 50 times, but it kept repeating. so i had to say yes.

I htink htey made so when you freeze you go back to the first FULL save. Well i froze on the second save and nothing happend...?

Jesus I'm almost paraniod as all fuck now. My HUcaseal just hit level 173 earlier and I really don't feel like starting over again.

I put too much work into her to have her smoten. I've been uber careful how I play so I can count myself as very lucky to not have this happen. -_-
