Espio has to go to work, he can go through everything in detail when he gets back :P
But for now here are a few things that will make FM players very, very unhappy.

*Adjustments to the battle system:
Anga Jabroga will NO LONGER ignore ATA, you can now miss with this PA :D
Duus Majarra's ATP modifier will be weakened.
Tornado Dance will no longer travel as far.
Paradi Cataract will have it's range and power reduced.
Ascension Gifts' 16T attack will significantly increase in power.

All Types will have their stats adjusted and both GT and WT will be able to equip Double Sabers up to A rank.

Edit: On second glance, FM ain't gonna be happy. Tornado Dance's movement distance got nerfed too D: Something about Jabroga too, but I can't make it out.

Edit2: Oh jeez, Paradi nerf too? About damn time- it made all other SUV's pointless...

As a Newman FM, this'll make things a little more difficult (if/when US/EU get this), but Majarra in particular should've been nerfed a long time ago. Well, I hope other FM's bothered to level other PA's, I know I did :lol:

Can anyone explain what's happening to Jabroga? I couldn't make sense of it..

Edit: Ah, thanks- thank god it'll be able to miss again- I hate Jabroga spammers.

But I am so laughing at all the people who extra switched to CAST FM because of Paradi, pathetic XD

Either way, I think all of these nerfes were needed (although I don't understand the Tornado Dance), because FM was just too way out there, and I personally always thought it would be better to make the stronger classes weaker, than making the weaker stronger, as we don't need more classes that kill everything in a second.

Good, FM has a lot of ATA anyway so there shouldn't be too many complaints on that (unless ST give Jabroga a Mayalee Fury-like ATA mod :lol: )

FM is really suffering here :lol: On the one hand I'm disappointed because I played a 'gimped' one already as a Newman, but I also think that FM was way too good on most races and did need a nerf somewhere.

What's funny is that aside from the Paradi nerf, GM is unscathed :lol:

Is this just for Japan? If so, it's probably not too much of an issue. It's probably a nerf to compensate for the stats the end-game players have over there. Kind of like the idea was, that the moves were fine up until a certain level, but beyond that, they went too far.

To tell you the truth, I kind of agree with this....but I believe it's one of those anything to get more players playing GT ideas. Kind of a shock that they first give the GT barely any melee weapons (the least of all classes) and then they immediately jump to double saber. It does (without too much thought into it) seem a little outside the play foundations of the class. And the GT has plenty of pallette issues as well, as well as PA issues. Too many things. :)

After the nerf in the past, Dus daggas and Renkai were still good until MAjarra era.
After nerf, Chikki still be the more useful PA compare to another slicer PA.

From ST history of nerf stuff, I think it will still end up as very good PA, just not as strong only.

Tornado Dance nerf is enough for me to keep up with FMs as it is atm, so it's not really a problem if they still end up spamming those 2 PAs... I'd rather use Gravity and Spiral dance myself though.

Will this make GM the best time attack class then? FMs will have to switch from lkk to red/knight to avoid the zeros jabroga will put up, making that highly sought after unit even more desirable (two stacks+, probably).

Now lets see bows get blowback (or knockdown) at 31+ and an attack tech % increase across the board.

Oh... They missed out LaserPALV+, that's the only weapon in the game they've left out (apart from Shadoog, but you don't got PA for that), hope it's just an oversight.

The complaining's already started on our official boards :wacko: It's funny, everyone complained the game was too easy, but when ST balance things to make it a bit more challenging (a bit...), people start complaining anyway?

In short, FM players: You know those other PA's? You might wanna start working on them if these changes are drastic :lol:

The supplemental update begins this week!

Supplemental update outline
* Starting March 26, aside from GUARDIANS advanced style, some style customization items will be added. New room and interface functions will also be added along with the introduction of community course. Furthermore, three new conditional missions will be released. All other content not mentioned here will be released at any time.

Community course introduction
If you had previously purchased a PSU ID (net cafe and the free "TRY Illuminus" campaigns do not count) but let your GUARDIANS License expire, you can log in to the game as part of the community course. (This applies to ver.1 and AOTI users.)

While playing under CC, the following restrictions will be in place:
* Cannot enter your room
* Universe selection is limited
* Only certain missions can be accepted
* Cannot trade items with others
* Cannot pick up items dropped by others
* Cannot access your common box
* Cannot collect or use Vol Coins
* Cannot use GUARDIANS Cash
* Cannot earn or use AEXP or AP
* You will not gain any EXP if you are LV50 or above
* You will not gain any MP if your type level is over LV3
* You will not gain any PA EXP if your photon arts are over LV20

New area
* The 3rd floor of Clyez City will have a new area added to it: Bodyguard Department. (Accessible to ver.1 players.)

Conditional missions
The following missions are all accessed from the new G.Colony Bodyguard Department.

Plains Overlord/R
This is a training simulation of the bodyguard department. This mission is based on a large-scale fire contamination of Raffon Meadow which has made the native De Ragan turn vicious. Assume the cleanup of this area.
The following restrictions are in place for this mission:
* All players capped at LV20
* No Trimates
* No body units
* No EX traps
* Restrictions are in place until the mission ends or the mission is canceled.
* If you are below LV20, you cannot play this mission.

Demons Above/R
This is a training simulation of the bodyguard department. This mission is based on the assault of an Onmagoug's nest on Neudaiz. The idea is to assume a full-scale mop-up of the area.
The following restrictions are in place for this mission:
* All players capped at LV20
* No rifles
* No arm units
* No EX traps
* Restrictions are in place until the mission ends or the mission is canceled.
* If you are below LV20, you cannot play this mission.


Desert Terror/R
This is a training simulation of the bodyguard department. This mission is based around the recovery of a West Kugu facility on Moatoob that has been occupied by a Dimmagolus.
The following restrictions are in place for this mission:
* All players capped at LV20
* No Star Atomizers
* No Sol Atomizers
* No recovery TECHNICs
* No extra units
* No EX traps
* Restrictions are in place until the mission ends or the mission is canceled.
* If you are below LV20, you cannot play this mission.

Bodyguard Dept. Trading Post
You can exchange the advanced mission points earned in GUARDIANS advanced mission training simulations for various support items.

Bodyguard Dept. Item Drop-off
Bring the special items you've collected to me! Once you reach a certain amount, I'll give you a special reward!

Bodyguard Dept. Standby Area
Use this area as a rendezvous point for GUARDIANS advanced missions.

Mission adjustments
* Innocent Girl B and A will have adjustments made to their EXP payout. Furthermore, the weapons Vivienne uses will be changed.
* Various changes will be made to drop items in existing AOTI missions.

Battle system modifications
* The following photon arts and SUV weapons have been adjusted (also applies to ver.1):
- Anga Jabroga will no longer ignore accuracy
- Dus Majarra's attack power decreased
- Tornado Dance's movement speed decreased
- Paradi Cataract's power and range decreased
- Ascension Gift's 16t and Rappy attacks given more power
* During exact counter (just counter), you will be invincible (also applies to ver.1).
* All longbows will receive an increase to rate of fire and attack power (also applies to ver.1).
* All grenades will receive a reduction in PP consumption (also applies to ver.1).
* Guntechers and Wartechers will be able to equip double sabers up to grade A (also applies to ver.1).
* Each type will receive various status adjustments (also applies to ver.1).

GUARDIANS advanced style
The following new items will be added:
* Type customization

Interface
* Item lock will be added so that you won't have to worry about accidentally selling an important item to an NPC.
* The following online status functions will be added:
- Replacing the current status selection options, you will be able to create your own online status text.
- Online statuses you've created will be saved for later use.
- When character names are shown overhead, each person's status will be shown, too.
- A friend's online status will be indicated on their partner card (also applies to ver.1).
* Chat commands will be added that allow you to change line shields.
* A function will be added that allows you to quickly close list windows (also applies to ver.1).
* PC version players will be given the option to not show other players' status and other details.
* PC version players will be able to pull up a personal history of oldtext input for party names, online statuses and party comments.

Your room functions
* Common box capacity increased from 32 items to 100 items.
* Just like a Photon Gacha, you will be able to have multiple stacks of the same item when you store them in your common box or PM storage.
* A player shop function will be added that lets you replenish item stacks that are up for sale. (You can refill an item stack instead of having to create a new stack, in other words.)
* In place of item delivery from NPC shops, you will be able to access your common box free-of-charge from NPC shops.
* Different characters from the same account will be able to access the PM storage of each others' room. (This will allow previously undeliverable items between E1 and E2 accounts to occur.)
* You will be able to immediately move to the room of a friend straight from their partner card. (You cannot do this with your own card, however.)
* A menu will be added to allow different characters from different entrances to go to each others' rooms.

System changes
* PS2 users will be able to change their frame skip options at the TTB receptionist on the 4th floor of Clyez City (also applies to ver.1).
* PS2 users' title screens will now default to "Network Mode" as the initial selected option after receiving this system update.
* Universe names will be changed to go with the new content of this update.

I know I'm probably mistaken but hopefully this means items drop like they do in Phantasy Star Portable...but then again that would pretty much eliminate weapon boards... :/

I also kinda like the sound of the challenge missions. They remind me of PSO's challenge missions a bit.

This update sounds pretty cool but honestly, I'm just REALLY looking forward to new clothing and parts. New weapons are always cool too.

Since the event Shred the Darkness hasn't even been announced yet, we're currently 9+ months behind the JP version (they got that event on june 26).

But since the delay between the US/EU version and the JP version is increasing, I would expect it in more than 10 months... :\

They're not new photon arts, they're items that will help your PAs level faster in certain missions (the GUARDIANS advanced missions only).

I honestly would have prefered getting S-rank versions of a few weapons already in the selection (S-rank Shadoogs and Claws for WT, for example). :|
And PA adjustement also ; being capped at skill lvl 30 on an already attack-gimped class is retarded.

But oh well, since we will never see this around here... :wacko:

Those who don't have a Stun/Resist are screwed, unless they belong to the very few smart people still on this game who run away when the guy stays with the arms in the air for a bajillion minutes.

Makes me wonder by the way, any info on how those restricted missions will exactly work?
I'd like to know if it's gonna be like FFXI's the old BCNM or Garrison system (before they implemented the lvl sync. update), where you had to keep shitty equipment because the mission level cap was preventing you from using your higher level one.
In short : does this mean we have to keep C-B rank armors and weapons for those missions?

I bet we do (not sure), because they are releasing so many low ranks weapons from PSP, they gotta find some use to them.

GT double sabers ... it's so they can melee usefully a bit, they've got an awesome basic attack and Tornado Dance gives them a move with knockback (to go along with Rising Strike / Shunbu for launch)

I dunno why WT would get them too, I guess it's a "might as well" type thing. Every guardian type in Portable has access to Doubles and Knuckles which isn't true even for handguns, sabers, or spears.

Ah, crap, I ditched the mission description to read the restrictions immediately.
I thought it was Desert Goliath ; figthing Dimmagolus with no support isn't much of a challenge, I could fight it for a full 20 mins without getting hit once when I was at a lower level. :|

Wartecher getting double-sabers! Something else to level up while using double-saber PAs, since my claws will probably be maxed out by that time.

Still, to me it seems a random weapon to give to those two classes...... maybe giving wartecher S-rank twin claws instead would have been more viable? Not sure what Guntechers could get in place of it, though.

GT double sabers ... it's so they can melee usefully a bit, they've got an awesome basic attack and Tornado Dance gives them a move with knockback (to go along with Rising Strike / Shunbu for launch)


Actually, it might be a lot more useful than Rising Strike for launch. Even as a topped off female human guntecher...that level 10 Rising Strike is a true gamble that it'll even perform the knockback/launch. It misses doing that all the time, with me. Enough that I can't count on it. Still, I only really find it more useful for soloing as in a group, I'm usually with folks that either make the launch not as important or can launch the thing much better than I could.

Wartechers and Guntechers don't really need double sabers. Especially with Guntecher's cap of 10 on stiking PAs. Both classes already have problems with the number of PAs they can equip at any given time. I would rather have Guntechers with S rank cards and Wartechers with S rank swords.

Wartecher getting double-sabers! Something else to level up while using double-saber PAs, since my claws will probably be maxed out by that time.

Still, to me it seems a random weapon to give to those two classes...... maybe giving wartecher S-rank twin claws instead would have been more viable? Not sure what Guntechers could get in place of it, though.

Psst, we have S-rank twin claws already. Don't tell anyone though, Sonic Team will probably take them away and give us B-rank crossbows in their place.

I've been complaining about longbows for ages. Hopefully it will fire at a decent speed. Too bad NA isn't getting this update anytime soon >_>

Maybe those "fake" cast players(made just for paradi) will go back to their beast now...but I doubt it lol

edit: My HUmar remake on PSU is already WT so getting those double sabers back (even if not S rank) is pretty cool. Now if only swords and twin sabers were S too, but thats asking a bit much :p

That's why I don't see how adding A-rank double sabers to WT makes more sense than upgrading single Claw from A-rank to S-rank, for them.

Well, it is easier to dual wield claws than single wield. All you need is basic dual wield training and basic instincts.


It's nice to see the game is still being updated. It's pretty relieving to see some of these changes, especially to cast fighmaster. And yes, I'm glad my class is being nerfed. This means I won't be missing out on dance dashing due to my low frame skip, that I won't have to rely on a ridiculous looking PA and can go back to my favorite looking PA for damage without gimping it, and that I may look a bit more unique looking using the SUV that I'm sure everyone is still going to use anyway.

I'm kind of interested in this whole lv20 cap, maybe it'll add more strategy to the game. At B rank cap, it means you can use weapons your class is poor at without any downside, and you can farm for perfect weapons without breaking your budget. Gives capped players something to do, and it may give me some motivation to actually try using the correct elements.
No Axes or Paradi, though...


I'm pretty impressed with this update, overall. I'm glad to see Sega's still working on the game.

sorry just had to get that out. its about time another class got picked on rather than forces.
i use paradi but im happy its nerfed. it means we mighth start seeing some different ones. i always said it was too good to have both the atk power AND the best give out on END. it should one or the other.
i think we might see a few people going back to strum buster depending on how bad the attack power gets nerfed

I think the Majarra nerf/Jabroga nerf might hurt my FM, but really- a lot of people are kicking off about it already, and we don't know how much Majarra in particular will be nerfed. I mean, look at Chikki- that got a pretty huge nerf, and yet it's still an incredibly good PA. People threatening to quit on the official boards because of a Majarra nerf which our servers may not see for months is pretty pathetic.

I guess I'll just have to take a bit more care when I solo with my FM- I lack HP as it is, so nerfing her PA's might make things a bit less one-sided :lol:

People are assuming a lot about these conditional missions. Does it say anywhere that we can't use our A and S-rank equipment? Maybe they just drop our stats to the equivalent of a level 20 character but let us use the same palette? I find it hard to believe they'd make everyone buy a whole set of B-rank weapons, armor and units just to play a couple missions.

Also, we *could* get this update sooner than people think. The US/EU servers sometimes get system updates sooner than regular content updates. Then again, who knows? :p

GT getting double sabers is actually pretty cool. I find the biggest problem with GT are multi-target, bullet resistant enemies and bosses. I was thinking that they should get whips to fill that gap, but double sabers will work just as well. Even with level 10 skills (unless they fix that too - here's hoping!), it's nice to have a melee option.

WT getting double sabers is neat, I guess, but rather puzzling. In other words, it fits perfectly with the rest of their weapon selections.

Anyone else wondering exactly what the technic "limit breaks" are? I'm intrigued.

That was kind of an issue, but Shotguns often take care of that multi-target bullet resistant enemies thing. Considering it's precisely the multi-target stuff that allows a GT to counter the damage reduction in bullet resists. On the other hand, bullet resistant single target large enemies do pose more of a problem. Fortunately, they gave them a solution in certain attack techs + a Ranged mag. But that solution might be more for the human/newmans playing the class. This melee option might be more of a beast/cast thing.

Though the attack tech+Rmag is one I love for that situational aspect on a GT, when the specific bullet-resistant enemy you're facing is being too good at playing the knock-away game.

However, if (hypothetically) they nerf the Shotgun thing and took away the ability to 2x or 2.5x hit, that would remove a key GT tool.

Of course none of that affects me, as my FM is a human who never used Majarra and actually has ATA unlike you Beasts. Eat it, Majarra. XD

Longbow buff is awesome, but it really, really needs knockdown on 31+. GT and WT getting dubs is awesome. I always thought it should have been on other classes (I was thinking A rank on AF), so this is great.

Now...just nerf GM. If it doesn't happen and soon, we'll just see all the FM Haxarra spammers go to be GM shotty spammers.

The limit break things are just items. From how they're grouped with striking and ranged weapon PA LV+ items, they'll likely just be PA EXP mods for TECHNICs.

Then what other boss killer should GT get? Cards would make sense, but GT already has enough one-target weapons. Grenades would be nice since Gunmaster can't use them, and GT might be able to compete with PT.

i just spent months raising a new cast FM from scratch and im finally to the point of being pretty good, and then this happens...

you would think id be really pissed off but im actually happy about this. i will gladly return to MF if they become good again. bottom line, they need to better balance the chars and this is a large step in the right direction.

It's gonna take a lot for me to forgive Masterforce, it has to be on par or near with Gunmaster for me to give it a second chance.

Other than that, I'll continue to whore Gunmaster until there's actually another class worth using as multi-classing and variety are worthless to me. Fortegunner still gets nothing new, so it will continue to be worthless to GM.

I have no problems abusing GM, if I feel it's still the most worthwhile class and strongest ranger type. It better not be nerfed, as it's the only class I enjoy after MF sucking.

People are assuming a lot about these conditional missions. Does it say anywhere that we can't use our A and S-rank equipment? Maybe they just drop our stats to the equivalent of a level 20 character but let us use the same palette? I find it hard to believe they'd make everyone buy a whole set of B-rank weapons, armor and units just to play a couple missions.

Also, we *could* get this update sooner than people think. The US/EU servers sometimes get system updates sooner than regular content updates. Then again, who knows? :p


1. Nobody know it yet, but assume a lot of new C-B rank PSP weapons is coming, they might force people to use them somehow.

2. On the system update, yeah, we always get all the update relate to "nerf" early, so no worry there :wacko: but all other good system update might come real slow :S

Thats true. We got the death penalty removal, Visual-tech nerf, etc quicker than JP implemented theirs. And by Visual-tech nerf quick, I mean...MF was only around for 3 weeks before they nerfed their visuals, while JP had blinding-MF for a couple months I believe.

Im extremely intrigued by the status adjustments and these "Limit Break" technics. Are they Technics, or are they items that temporarly increase your technics?

If its a new technic that alllows my character to jump into the sky and rain hell down like an SUV, [I]fackk yess plz.

Why is such a surprise about GT getting doubles? We have seen Lou since day 1 with rifle,double,rod only thing GT need is A rank rod to be like her :P

I really wish they did some work with techs. Come on it's a joke that gi-techs can only hit 6 targets when ra-techs hit up to 5 depending on the class. With out mentioning a few other things that can be improve with them.

Finally got around to reading the entire thread. Gotta say I'm pretty excited about these changes. The lolnerfs don't bother me at all. As others have stated, Majarra will probably remain a good PA, if not then oh well, Daggas is still sexy. :wacko:

My friend thinks that FG is better for soloing than GM is and he has 50% spears saying how that GM can't handle multi-hit boxxed creatures like drua gohra well. This update is gonna make him rethink his idea about that in the future.:p Techers need a boost badly. Having Gi-spells including megiverse and regrant(minus the se >.>) should multi-hit creatures. Only a suggestion though.

Not really a shock when they nerfed most spammed of the FM skills, but I lvl'd every pa for FM so I'm good. Just have to get this game on pc so the tornado dance nerf doesnt affect me :p Its great they did this since most skills atm (all sword skills as example) is overlooked since of majarra and jabroga are overpowered @_@

More Reasons to use a larger variety of PAs as FM as well as both Races.
I Just hope GM wont be the only overpowered class after this.

Those statt rebalancings really make you wonder, how will they turn out?

Looking at STs track record I would have to guess....LOL NO.

Actually, the clothes in AoI data should be already all released, so which color do you refer to?

I figure that they might bring more data from NPC to make those new clothes. and I think it is possible be PM clothes.

That'd be nice, I always wondered why they had the little stewardess cap but never the stewardess clothes that went with it. A few other NPCs that I've wondered about clothing-wise too, like the one cast that wears the AMF military clothes. That'd look nice on my cast, I think.

GT and WT get double sabers? I think that's a bit random and doesn't solve many of the issues those two classes have, but I guess it really doesn't hurt anything. There's not much else to criticize. The other adjustments have been a long time coming; in fact, maybe too long, especially since it's not like the NA/EU servers will see any of this anytime soon.

This can't be stated enough.

Good, glad for all the nerfs. Never really liked FM in the first place, so now I really don't have any reason to play it now. Even as a CAST, I'm glad they're finally nerfing Paradi; now I can carry Grom around and not feel like I'm doing less damage than I could! >:O

As long as nothing terrible happens to AF, GM, or MF, I'm gonna love this update! Should be fun to see the new parts/clothes/weapons in the upcoming weeks. :D

I personaly don't see a problem with reajusting things in the game. What really makes my blood boil is how long it takes before they do anything. It just shows how much they half ass this game. Those PAs came out around the release of True Darkness, sence then we have had many updates including a new expantion disk. How long has it been almost two years now? What a bunch of fuck-head monkeys on computers who can't take a piss unless Sega of Japan is there to walk them to the ladies room. It feels like being in a bad relationship and you keep getting the crap beaten out of you, but we all stick around because they say their going to change right?

Well, the whole "race" thing was originally like this:

Humans are balanced - not the best but not the worst at whatever they did. They're the "baseline" race.

Newmans were tech-oriented - they excel at tech classes and do everything else a little worse off than baseline, but not unbearably worse.

Casts are accurate - they're ranged classes, since they have higher accuracy than the other races, and do everything else a little worse than baseline, but since their techs are so much worse than the other three classes, they get a special.

Beasts are powerful - they excel at fighting, and a little worse at everything else than baseline. They're hit a little more in the accuracy and tech department, so they also get a special.

That's the way I saw it back when the game was coming out, and even back when the game first came out for the first month or three. After that, people realized that at higher levels, it was pretty much negligible except for extreme cases (newman forces having a significant boost in some stats over, say, a cast) and it got to be that beast and cast were slightly overpowered with SUVs and nanos, but nothing that severely disjointed the game. Over time, it eventually became more and more weighted towards classes that have high ATP, which is where the casts and beasts come out on top. Then the addition of Paradi made things more weighty in the casts' favor, since it could be fired off multiple times in a mission, hit everything on the map (for the most part), and had such high damage.

As for PAs, I have no idea why Majarra is as strong as it is, but (and this is just my opinion, so feel free to blow it off if you want) basing your whole palette on one weapon and one PA is kind of a foolhardy move. I usually recommend specializing in three weapons, and getting all of the PAs for them to max just in case they do something like this.

Killing enemies is not a problem for me, as long as I actually get to hit the enemies. If I run with someone who literally runs into a room, kills everything before anyone else fires so much as a shot at a mob, and then runs on is a little inconsiderate. I tend to use one or two regular attacks before I focus strictly on killing as fast as possible, or I use an AoE that can at least tag everything first, maybe use it twice (just to give my team a chance to tag). If you've ever been on the end of an all-cast party that fires paradi one after another and kills multiple spawns of small mobs in one sitting, then you know how it feels to watch 3 rooms go by without any XP going to you. Again, nothing I'm going to cry, whine, bitch, moan, and groan about, but I'd ask if they could slow down a bit, let the others tag them before they fire their SUVs off or something. If they do, cool. If not, I usually end up leaving after another minute or three and find another party to run with (unless I'm the leader, in which case I ask a few more times before I start booting individual people).

I guess my point is that the game really does need balancing, and if you can't see that, then try playing other races and classes before stating again that everything's fine.

I just want to be able to hit at least 3k still with paradi. but I do agree with you, it does take a long time to get everything out even it is on a disc. however I think there is a reason behind this and an unseen element that causes such a long time, probably because PS2 Xbox 360 and PC all use different code types and video transfer systems than one another. Nonetheless, it does seem to take too long for a company that is solely build on making video games, and Sonic and Phantasy Star being the only two real original series they have left.

Just noting that ver.1 players will be able to enter the lobby. I actually don't think they'll be able to play the missions, however, since none of the missions on the official site have the ver.1 compatibility note next to them. The lobby may serve as just a tease to ver.1 players with the whole look-but-don't-touch thing like when we got the massive pre-expansion update that listed new missions at old counters, but wouldn't let you play them until you had the expansion.

Eh, not really. Jabroga goes further with FS 0. When I was using FS 1, the jump was really small. FS 0 is so much better.

So the most common PAs are weakened. Spiral Dance is an alternative to Majarra, Robado works just as good, Dugrega and Redda are good, etc. Although the nerfed PAs were REALLY needing a nerf.

I don't think MF is going to be able to catch up with either FM and GM in TAs yet. GT/WT/FT/AF all still fall behind. AT/PT/FI are still going to be borderline useful, borderline useless.

GM is still broken to death too.

But who knows, maybe the stat rebalances might fix all this.

Why would you change that? Of all things they should be lowering base stats so that the weapon stats actually mattered, even before this change damage between different S rank shotguns was negligible.

looks like among the nerfing of majjara and jarborga, they upgraded most of the other PA's too.

Looks like most bullets got improved, and it seems like a few technics got stronger.

(Now please give these to Protranser...! If just Fortegunner/Fortetecher/Guntecher gets exclusive Lv. 50 PAs... I'll cry then switch, heh.)

Man... I sure hope Guntechers don't get Grenade Launchers and then get to use them to Lv. 50 straight away...


Also, a hell of a lot of changes made to a lot of PAs... it says stuff like how lots of PP costs for things are going down and upping the power... wow, cool!

Boma Maga getting an extra target at 41+ sounds nice too - as well as PP consumptions going down all over the PA Fragment PAs, Twin Penetration getting a Range reduction and errr... more power...?


But the nicest ones seem to be the changes made to TECHNICs... looks like there are some extra targets for the Foie and Diga - as well as errr... faster casting..?

In one of the exchange missions, you can exchange AMP for various materials (Catinium, Ydral, -polymers, Walnas, etc.) as well as some new clothes and a new SUV weapon.

Apparently they broke a ton of things while implementing the update (for example concentrate unit doesn't slow down tech casting anymore), so don't expect salvation.

Techs suck so bad anything that lowers speed makes you supersuck

managed to poke one of the conditional missions before the servers went down.

the party size is 1 to 4, so you can solo them. the enemies have boosted hp and exp too though i'm not sure about other stats. and you are bound to level 20 stats, that includes equipment requirements so master jobs are rather borked for these. anything that you have on that you can't use at lv 20 will get ripped off, btw.

So, B ranks FTW? Or have they boosted stats enough that you can equip A rank armor and weapons at level 20? Either way I'm ready with a bunch of stuff that people told me I was crazy for keeping around. (lol, full set of Ageha-senba.)

Spinning Break will become stronger... I still probably won't use it often.

Tornado Break gets stronger. Maybe around the Dus Robaddo level. I'll wait until more info is posted.

Bogga Zubba costs less PP... not that I ever ran out of PP while doing Zubba anyway. I could run through most missions with one pair of knuckles if I was spamming Zubba. Just attack recharges a lot of PP on knuckles.

Bogga Robaddo gets stronger. Meh, it was strong enough, but okay.

First and second stage of Daggas changes, but it doesn't say how it changes. :/

Majarra costs more and is weaker. No surprise.

Dus Robaddo gets stronger. WTF? Wasn't Robaddo already hella strong? Now it's getting stronger?

n.n If you get to keep your job level, that's really good - Male human Gunmaster can still use a Shigga Baret, so I'm kinda lucky..!

The 40 or so DFP hurts though... x.x;

But man.... even Female Newman Masterforces cannot equip Psycho Wands at this point. If they don't have a boost in TP, you guys have to go and buy the Halarods and the Kazarods going around! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! (Everyone else is kinda screwed though.... ._.)


Fortefighter has one of the highest - if not THE highest DFP modifier. They can equip the Serafi-Senba at that level with just 88 DFP and that's as a male beast Fortefighter 20... (Serafi-senba needs 75 to equip) (Ahh... oh well, female humans have 84 DFP at that level, heh..) but pretty much everyone else gets around 40-60DFP so... A rank Yohmei stuff for us then, heh.

You need 75DFP to equip S rank armors, but you only need 47DFP to equip A rank.

According to Amesani's Stat Simulator;
LV20 Male Beast FM20 has 416ATP and 79DFP,
LV20 Male Cast GM20 has 255ATA and 56DFP and,
LV20 Female Newman MF20 has 504TP and 43DFP.
So the MF would already be able to equip all Madoogs/Wands and Rods up to 11s + Rabbit and Dalganrod and the GM all weapons except for the Adana Degana Cannon at level 20, but no S rank armor whereas the FM would be able to equip the armor but no weapons!

Also, lol @ Paradi's damage now (and a STA reduction too? This is golden.) If Rafal Burst is just an S-Rank version of Rafal Attacker, I'll be all over it. I've always liked Rafal but stopped using it when Paradi/Sturm took over as kings. I guess I'd like to be a little different. Still hoping for an S-Rank Gigas Espada...

i remember 2 situations that should help me :)

1. I had a friend who wanted to use a meteor cannon before lvl 20 (i think this was before even lvl 20 classes came out lol) and he did.

2. I had a friend who wanted to use paradi as his first SUV at lvl 20. at lvl 19 GM lvl3, he was still like 16 or so DFP behind, idk if GM gives a lot of defense tho but at 20/20GM your might havent just enough defense for serafi senba

No, opposite, from what I read.. it say that it change from 2-3 target at 2nd and 3rd part to only "1 target"

EDIT: Arika might back to her old old long story of Wartecher again, it is the only job that not only get new weapon, it still has all stat increase!! (all!)

Just ATP by the looks of things.

Wartecher getting a huge global buff sounds awesome - unless it's just like 1 or 2%... ._.

Hopefully, they'll get more TP than Guntecher, more ATA, more ATP and more delicious Evasion to take advantage of that invincible Just Counter.


Just a thought... if Just Counters now make the user invincible, does that mean that a Techer Just Countering a hold TECHNIC is going to be invincible for however long it lasts..? Will Megiverse/Dam TECHNICs become awesomely powerful now...?

Single target Gravity Break is okay with me as long as they make the second and third parts stronger (I want part 3 of Gravity Break to be stronger than part 3 of Redda if it's limited to one target).

... and techs are supposed to be worth giving up some power to use, but they're not. One or the other has to get fixed.

They are giving up power. GM is weaker than fG, thus GT would still be weaker than fG. GM have a speed boost that GT does not have. GT selection of S rank weapons does considerably less damage than the fG/GM S rank weapons.

The strongest Laser cannon a GT can use is a Degahna Cannon +10.
The strongest Shotgun is a Van Brella/ Madam Brella +10.
The strongest rifle is a Phantom +10 w/ Phantom line. GT with Phantom line isn't really an option unless you like cutting yourself off at the knees. Maybe a De Colte Line with a Sniper+10, but seriously, why bother?

Still no grenades. Double Saber with 10 skill level. It doesn't seem that they over powered them. At least in my opinion. Shifta and Zalure should bring them to a bit below the level of a fortegunner using Agatride which sounds about right. fG will still have the overall power advantage. GT will still have to juggle between 90 different PAs and 300 different weapon combinations in order to complete a mission.

Yay @ gravity break being a single-target pa throughout.
I never used it against more than one enemy anyway and I was always only using the first part so its a nice change.
Also yay @ possible fixing of hybrid classes.

The STA drop on Paradi (and other S-grade SUVs) is astoundingly stupid...

How many "Burst" SUVs are there right now? Espio listed only Rafal Burst, but The Brimada posted pictures of Hegel Burst.
I guess we'll have to wait until Sturm Burst for more SUV ownage =/

Very curious about the change to Dus Daggas and Gravity Break.

Guntecher Shotgun damage ought to be close to rivaling Fortegunner Shotgun damage though...

The thing is, if a Guntecher has the same ATP as a Gunmaster... and Gunmaster has less ATP than a Fortegunner, it really does mean that there is very close to NO difference between Fortegunner and Guntecher when it comes to single target Shotgun.

Shigga Baret and hopefully Shigga Pakuda should change things though...


But I agree - with how things are for Laser and Rifle, Guntecher has some ways to go... the lack of Grenade Launcher hurts a lot for bosses.

Hopefully, Longbow will make a strong comeback.

Naturally, they couldn't let a massive bug like boosting WT stats go through. XD

I am now "interested" in this update, however, I'm going to continue to refuse to believe any sweeping positive changes have been made to WT until three months after it's on our servers. :P

In their chart, it says that Gunmasters will be receiving a boost to their base attack power. All types except for the three basics, Fortefighter and Fighmaster will be getting various boosts.

Well, it kind of a shame that Paradi is getting nerfed. I didn't really get to play with it much, but visually, it's my favorite SUV. However, I agree that it shouldn't be the end of all SUVs, so I guess a nerf is needed. Just as long as I still get to use it at the end of the day.
I'm kind of sad that the same SUV I used at lv20 is probably going to be the strongest SUV again. I wish they improved SUVs with only one copy instead of the ones that have already been upgraded.
And Daggas is getting buffed while Majarra is getting nerfed? I really hope they're more on equal playing field now, since I'd much prefer to use Daggas on my spears.

If they made a class weaker, the people who play that class would complain. Whereas if they made the weak classes stronger, the people playing those classes would be happy. So they have a choice of making some people happy or making other people upset. When you're dealing with customers, it's better to make people happy. Of course, in reality the game's too easy already so boosting all the classes is probably not the best idea. I'd like to see enemies get stronger and smarter in a future update, but that's probably just wishful thinking. :p

I haven't had faith in Sega's patch methods since the first incarnation on DC. They are the only people who could screw up enabling things that are already on the disc simply waiting for a light switch to be flicked on.

You dont get it. There is no superior class in this game.

If you're not a Force, Hunter, or Ranger (base class), you're supposed to be equals to whoever else you're playing with. Fortefighter is stronger than Acrofighter, but is not supposed to be superior.
