Please help! My GCN is upstairs in my room, and my computer and broadband modem are in my basement. I have a TV down there, but it's crappy and in a different room. I think I could probably bring a TV and my GCN into the office where my computer is, but to connect online I will have to move the desk out of the way, find the Ethernet cable, and disconnect from my hard drive, which my parents say I can't do unless all alternative methods are undoable. Is there an Ethernet cable splitter or something of that sort I could use? I ordered the BBA online, so it can't be returned. SOS! BTW this is my first time posting.http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

It's all about wireless networking.

These are what I use, but Linksys actually has newer Wireless-G stuff out.

Wireless Router (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=35&prid=415)

Wireless Ethernet Bridge (http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=36&prid=432)

You're looking at about a $200 expense, maybe $150 if you can find good deals, which you should be able to since most places seem to be trying to get rid of this stuff since the new Wireless-G stuff is out.

Do you already have a router or a hub connected to your broadband modem? See what's connected to the broadband modem. If you already have a router, you could buy an uplinkable hub and an extra cat5e cable.

Thanks for your help everyone. BTW, once I get online, do any of you want to form a party or something? Thanks. Special thanks to Nintense, because that's probably the option I'll use. Now then, off to Circuit City!
