Hi, again :) , For all those who would like to see some what more detail on the picture you can go to my album there in there and i believe you can zoom in to see it better(there at 85-92 dpi so you can see a little more detail). I`m sorry for the not very good res I try to get it higher than 72 dpi but with the small uplaod size limit can`t do much, wish it was a 100MB limit and not a 293KB limit lol.

SQUEE!!! That has got to be the coolest outfit yet! That SEED suit really looks like something out of the game! Wouldn't be surprised if they used this for a future SEED mob or boss. xD

At first, I think that SEED suit is awesome, but then I think of it again, you write in it that it will have effect to reflect enemy damage like kog nadd. Well, that make it hard to be picked. And for the second one, it say that mantle will be added as accessory in make over shop. Well, I don't think they want to make a new acccessory....

Shouldn't you add some message that they can add it without the effect? and btw, what program did you use to make the clothes? 3D program?

These swords are cool. I don't understad why G.R.M. swords are japanese-like when there's already a japanese-like culture in the game. G.R.M. swords should look more like this (or like new Yohmei swords), and Hanzo, Jogiri and Caliburn should be Yohmei's. I think.

By the way, you do the translations of the texts?

I agree that actual A rank GRM swords are not really GRM like. And i like how new A ranks from PSP are different from each other. I mean 7* 8* and 9* don't have exactly the same skin.
There should be more weapons by rank anyway, why just one per brand for each star ?
Since SEGA don't have the PS2 problem anymore, I hope they will product tons of new weapons.

well i got some bad news. ive lost my design sheets >< i still have the arm, but all my random doodles of the legs and torsos are gone! T-T theyre probably buried in one of my note books somewhere. im just glad i still have my arm parts. i had a good ideal for the torso too... (but i got it in my head thankfully) there is one awkward bit of business left to do on the torso piece... how to design the all important crotch plate. xD when you think about it, the crotch plates are probably one of the main reasons why the legs and torsos on most cast parts dont match up right.

That is the original color scheme it was concieved with. Clearly it's based on the Delsaber (everyone's favorite...yeah or not..whee) Ruins denizen. The original monster has high-heeled feet, so of course that needed to go. Tail added because really....it's a skeletal Aliens type tail. Both the arms are different to represent it's different arm structures too.

Is the variant scheme. This was by far the hardest one I did to date. So much fiddly detail and the chest piece needed redoing at the end. Still, I reaaaly wanted to do this one, and no it's still not going to get picked but it needs to be seen.

I don't like how double sabers were made on this game. They look more like a cheerleader or artistic gym thing than a "saber", and the only one that for me looks like a double "saber" is the Crea Doubles, and maybe the Carriguine-Rucar. I won't use them as WT, but yes, the bows were made with the intention of giving WT a good bow.

I'm not to aware abouut the "feet" measurement, but I don't think that matters too much. For me a double saber is a fcuking held with two long blades, one at each side (like crea n00bles), not a long stick wiith a little blade at the end.

Is not over, if I remember well it ends on 7 May or around. If you design clothes you should use the pattern given in the first post, if you design a weapon, there's no need for pattern but you should add as many details as possible.

Yeah, late 80s-early 90s sci-fi anime was my major inspiration for this. Glad that idea was shown through!

I was thinking about a De Ragan costume similar to the Rappy costume, though. I don't think I have the time or skill to pull it off now, though.

Maybe explaining why JP artists won't show their designs. They aren't being secretive out of miserliness...some even blamed SEGA for "forbidding to post designs." They're just being careful, like I am.(I'm not an artist, though)

Actually, "you agree that all rights of ownership be transferred to SEGA" rule means that the right to publicize the designs should be given up.
(Original JP text says,"応募作品に関する著作者人格権を行使しないことに同意するものとします(you agree you won't exercise the moral rights on the designs.)")

...I hope SEGA won't enforce the rule too harshly, but it may be an legal issue, so I felt like someone has to make a notice.

By the way, I just experimentally translated the text of Bossa Raika(Tenora *9 Longbow, designed by Darki.) I'm not sure if my translation works or has any worth here...I just hope it works and considered as a token of courtesy.

Nice! Not so sure about the skort-ish pants. Hm, I'm going to submit a suit-type thing, where the pin stripes are the line shield. And that is similar to yours lol. Didn't steal it, promise,

If anyone needs my skill, please feel free to ask(I can't guarantee to answer all the requests, though...I myself doing some last-week effort WITHOUT art talent!).

It's optional I think. At least submission rule or form don't require or forbid it.
Sample weapon picture has some description in it, so it's natural to suppose we can do the same.
And, you can write comments up to 400 letters(in japanese, I suppose...English letters need less space, so maybe it can be longer) so there's a lot more room than just to write the item text.
(In-game item text space is approximately 75 letters(in Japanese) for a weapon and 60 letters(in Japanese, too) for each costume item.)
But as the rule says, SEGA can modify it as they like. So, if you didn't submit detailed description, they'll decide it as they like.


And...submitted! I wanted to do a decent female coat, and the rest came to me along the way.

Another great design...Modest coat for women, skirt without top conflict, all badly in need on PSU.

Maybe SEGA will put some nano transformers(it looks like CUBIC GIRL, so they will be round-shaped like Nobles Long Coat's waist one or Phanis Tunic's back-of-the-neck one), but that won't harm the design.
(A rule of thumb...as far as I know, modern Parum-style nano-transformers are usually simple round-shped ones. HI, again sorry for taking so long to reply back to answer Arika`s questions you`re rite I had the same thought`s about that Before about the effact`s, then wonder if that`s what they need more imagination with the comment box and all. But true it mite not get picked but my whole reason for doing so is to show them that US NA/EU player`s can kick butt in designing cool stuff too. Well At least like some others have said it be 1 kick butt monster Foe to go up against lol and that Sega can do anything they want with it. I guess It`s better to say "Summit then never Summitting at all. Oh don`t worry I`m not mad at all if it sounded that way I`m sorry it was a very good question:). Now for the second question they where both done in good old Photoshop CS2 and put in about 12-16 hrs in to it for both design together. oh(ie. I have a college degree in graphic design/multi-media) mite be the reason too.o.o

I think your wrong there Omega. I don't think Sega is that prejudiced towards the US/EU players. If thye were that biased towards us and our European brethren then they wouldn't have accepted any entry from us and only accepted entries from Japan only. I'm sure entries such as that bow pictured in the previous page and costume designs from others will be reviewed by Sega. Keep a stiff upper lip my boy, everything will be ok. Ok?

Btw, @BoltFromTheBlue, I suppose I got it fine. It gave me the 400+ characters message twice, I just took some text from them till it worked, and finally I got a confirmation page where it seemed to be the place where to confirm the entry.

There were two buttons, a little one first than a little one longer. I picked the little (my basic japanese says that the negative form of all verbs are longer than the affirmative, so I supposed little button was "accept" and the other "not accept"), and then a last page appeard where it was supposed to say something about the terms of the entry with a pic of some chibi girls saying things.

So, I suppose I did well, but in case not I can try again. I guess there's no problem in case there's a "double submitting" of something, they'll understand it was a problem/error and pick the good one (I guess).

Hi, again lol Yes Arika you can do 3D lokking graphics in CS2 , you can even do little animation GIFF too in CS2, the difference from CS2 to CS3 (Which I heard) is that it has and update filter that allows you to 3D map or graph pic`s for you. other wise the industry is looking towards CS5 as the main stream Photoshop now Which coast an arm and an legs to buy around 5-6K for Pc and 6-8K for Mac. I`ve worked on bought Before. I don`t think your a noob I`ve seen your work and you do quite well using photoshop. Oh I didn`t Use any other program to make it I just took some elemants and modify them and moved them around with like clone tool and others to make the pic`s oh and it helps to know human and animal body parts too. I wish I could say I knew my JP better i only have a year of it in high school so I know just the basic`s lol So I`m a noob in that lol don`t worry your doing just fine:)

The version of Photoshop you use is not that important... I could do the same pictures with Photoshop 6 (I began to learn on this one). They just add some tools from one version to an other so you can gain speed but what matter the most is skill and for that you just have to practice whatever the version is.
In Photoshop there are some ways to make "false" 3D effects too. Actually you can do anything, even if there is not a tool for what you want to do, there is always a way to achieve your goal. You just have to try.

Yes, agree. I think that they will selected : 1 Cast part, 1 Caseal part, and 1 female costume.
Weapons : 1 spear, 1 grenade, 1 wand.

ST only have 3 edel weapons: sword/ rifle/ bow... so I think wand need some love now.

Given that Sword and Rifle are arguably the signature weapons of the Hunter and Ranger classes, a Rod seems more in favor, as the signature of the Force classes.

Besides, there hasn't been sh*t in the way of Rods in AOI. Dallgunrod? Seriously, someone was on drugs in a history museum. And Gao Rod+ isn't anything new. Rutsularod doesn't even freaking exist, as far as we know. It's only a legend purported by our playerbase~

Maybe I'm just rambling from sleep deprivation, but I mean what I say. I'd much prefer a new Rod. The strongest Teching weapon has been the same since v1. I'd like some alternative to Psycho Wand at some point. And if that can be a new Rod created by a fan, then I have no qualms equipping it.

Well, I was thinking about making it a twin claws at the beginning, but I wanted to do only one design per type of weapon and I had already came up with the Shika-misaki.
And quite frankly, I've never been a fan of symmetry. I never liked the idea of twin weapons being a carbon copy of each other...
As for the Kamatoze, well, I had that in mind too. But as odd as it sounds, I want to do a set of twin daggers out of it (using the two different-shaped blades of the buffed Kamatoze).

Thanks. As for the whips, my main complaint isn't much from their number, but the fact they all look pretty generic. They're all an handle with a different color, but unless you give them a close look, you can't really notice which is which.
So I went for a different shape for this one, and added the "spike" in the end of the tentacle. Rather than generating a photon whip when you strike with it, this one is supposed to have it stored in the handle when on passive state, and 'unsheathing' it when you attack.
