I had a subscription for this game right when it came out. Played for 6 months and stopped because people were getting hacked, losing the goods in your house. I'm trying to get some insight as to how much the game has changed since then. Also if my character is saved at all or if they clear my account out after so many inncactive days. I look forward to your responses.

character is saved player side so nothing to worry about there.

there are some hackings still but not nearly like before and they seemed to have stopped most of it.

lots of changes since 2 years ago. way too many to state. i'm sure someone will provide a link to every thing thats new at some point. basic changes since AotI. meseta drops in larger amounts per monster, exp increase, just attack, just counter, character stat adjustments, lots of new missions/gear/items/clothes.

Much like you, I played for about 6 months or so after the game launched, got tired of the BS, then came back shortly after the AotI expansion was released...played for a while, then left again up until last week where I once again returned.
Your character will still be here...exactly how you left it.
In fact, when I returned for a second time, I had several million meseta waiting for me due to the garbage sitting in my shop shooting up in price over the past year. Hah...
But if you havent been here since launch....theres alot I think you'll be happy with. New PAs, classes, areas, ect (the casino :P ).
Still a decent number of players still online too (even if 99% sit at one mission and spam it to death)

That sounds really great actually. I just have to try and find my old username and pass now. Just outta curiousity though, did they ever make it where if you have a PC account you can play on a Xbox360?

Nah...theyre seperate.
That being said, if you dont have a whole lot invested into your character(s) and you have the option of playing on either PC or 360, you may want to consider trying the 360 version. I know some people here will argue with me over which is better, but from what I understand, 360 has the more active (or otherwise alive) community due to the PC/PS2 community dwindling to a shadow of its former self...

Well my main guy was max lvl at that time and I had all of the Boss statues in my room, along with my maxed out mag. I may start all over though just to play catch up with all the new features.

I've always loved the series and own every single game, but sadly WoW pulled me away from PSU.

Yea, me too...though, im finding it increasingly difficult to commit to raid schedules. What started as one to two nights a week, quickly ballooned into 4 or so. My wife also doesnt like the fact that this locks me down to the compy for 4-5 hours at a time.
Perhaps Ill go back again when Ulduar comes out, but PSU is way less time consuming and stressful...

Thanks for the insight guys. I think I'm going to download the Xbox demo and give it a go to see if that spark still exists.

Ah, well please note...the people who pay for the full game are far less afflicted by down syndrome than the people who play the demo.

Yeah I think I'll stick to the PC version after having that demo a go. I prefer to type my messages on a keyboard. Also I think I've got a decent grasp on some of the new features from skimming the main site. I've got a buddy of mine shipping me his PC disk so hopefully I'll be up and running later this week.

I gotta admit it though that Xbox demo almost killed it for me graphics alone and all the little kids running around haha.

Well, comparatively speaking, the 360 version doesnt look as bad as say, the PS2 version...but yea, if you have a nice compy...its gonna squash the 360 version.
And yea, im not sure what buttcrack the people in the 360 demo slid out of...but I cringed a bit when you said you were going there.
Not a good representation of the 360 PSU community.

I'm kinda miffed that after all this time, there is still no support for the 360 keyboard.

There may be no support for the text pad on the 360 but you can use any wired/wireless USB keyboard in it's place and just keep it in your lap like the majority of us do.

No longer playing on the 360 myself, but most likely will pick the game up again when I get a computer of my own.
