Annoying Sigs

I have to say that some of you have the most annoying & obnoxious sigs ever created (especially some of the moderators). Why is this so important to people? And, why do you create such disgusting sigs? Thank goodness I can set my user preferences not to display them! I just don't get it.

I was sort of hoping a few people could tell me why they liked making & using an elaborate sig.
True, I shouldn't point the finger at anyone specifically. However, I actually think some of the sigs are sexually offensive. I'm not prude or ultra conservative I just don't see the point in having that kind of content here.
Besides that, I could care less if I am hated or despised here because this isn't RL.

Some of us do it to add individuality to our post or to facilitate identification... just like growing a mustache? ^_^

Some others do it to add some usefull (or not) information about their characters.

You may be right in saying that many sigs are'nt works of art but I think that only a small minority of 'em are annoying, and even less, are provocating.

I am still searching for a way to shrink my sig without making the text too small or loosing details in the head part.

Oh, and about the moderators sigs - and - sexually offensive sigs, I hope you're not reffering to the "Pin-Ups". I think that they look very classy. Pin-Ups these days are often considered a form of art. Many museums and galleries have exposed the work of masters at this art. I don't think of them as offensive. I see WAY more offensive stuff on regular TV. And I don't think they should be viewed as sexist too. On of the best Pin-Up site on the net is managed by a Lady. Well, it's only my point of view.

hehe percival, some people can't appreciate fine art without thinking it obscene. i wonder what kind of shock they will go through when looking at the rennaissance art pieces.

i think sigs are just a way of expressing the poster's individuality and is part of their profile, it is their choice to do it. and you know what if it doesn't harm anybody, who are you to say their sig sucks or not, it is their way of expression.

I actually appreciate your 2 meseta. However, pointing out that there is more offensive things on TV isn't exactly something I've never considered before. Besides, just because a lady runs a site, doesn't mean that it can't be sexist.

I actually didn't say they were obscene nor did I say they suck. I wasn't shocked by them either. Besides, 'fine art' is a very loosely defined category. What might be considered fine art today wouldn't be considered that 10 years ago.

I think I just need to chill. When I see some of the sigs on this forum it just rubs me the wrong way. I come here to share/get information about PSO, not look at a sig which is offense.

I'm not too wild about eRUPT or Lollipops sig. Check them out. Just doesn't seem appropriate for moderators.

This is Neko's sig. He was obviously being sarcastice. There is nothing worng with Erupt and Lolita's sigs. Lolita's name satrikes controversy, but not her sig.

i guess gallaugher hasn't seen salad's sig. if you don't like the sig, fine turn it off. and gallaugher has done so, so everything is fine. ness, find something else more constructive to do.
