In reading everbody elses posts and long trade lists and what not, I pretty much nominate myself for the worst pso player.

I have 254hours logged on my character on the gamecube and I am a level 83 hunter. I still use a Varista since I haven't found anything stronger. I might just be a slow leveler or something, but I die a lot.

I relized I might have a problem when last night online I was with a bunch of people in VH that were in the level 40s and 50s and I was the person that kept on dying and needing them to moon atom me.

I guess all that matters is that you enjoy the game, and I really do. I challenge anyone else out there who thinks they are worse than me.

I'm glad someone told me about this website, maybe it will help me get better at the game.

WTH don't do that. Don't be down on yourself. I was a terrible level 55 until I went online.

I once met a HUnter who had trouble getting the timing down for a 3-hit combo...

Heh I didn't start PSO until the GC version, and until I was about level 7 I didn't even know there _was_ a 3-hit combo.

I kept "accidentily" getting in a second swing and thinking to myself how cool that was. I didn't realize that pushing the button super fast was not the key to getting a combo off...Heh.

My fiance figured it out before me...Bleh.

Other than that, the dumbest thing I've ever done on PSO was probably run into a room in the ruins on Very Hard mode with low health and have a bomb kill me. Sometimes I just get too impatient for Resta...

my friend refused to do it
knew how to, just loved to mash the buttons.
Needless to say, he hates the game now, kept dying.
Hmm...wonder why.

Well with that said, i have 6 characters, 3 of which are 120 and above. And still on;y have 100,000 meseta among them all. I guess it has to do with my efforts to raise the perfect mag. I have 4 mags that arent lvl 200 in the bank. Well, any donations are welcome. I accept meseta in large quantities if you wish to adhere. Another thing, I am refered to as the Alive Aqhu fanboy, all my HUnewearl finds are Alive's. Bluefull curse as you may.

I believe the saying went "There will always be someone better than you." Well it can also be reversed to say, "There will always be someone worse than you." If anything the only tip that comes to mind at the moment is to watch your life bar more carefully. I usually resta at 50% or lower.

I've been playing since the game came out on the DC.I rarely die but i can do the combos on all weapons, regardless of their type, except for those blasted Mechguns...it's not that i can't never do them but i miss one every once in a while still and we all know what a miss leaves you open to with mechguns, due to their shorter range.

I'm just saying to keep practicing, learn the ennemies pattern and yes, playing online will help you get better because you will learn from others, just watching how they play. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

there is always someone worse than you![quote] That would be me! level 86 female hunter and still uses varista. Use musahis too, cuz hubby found it for me, but I keep dying. Tried Ultimate last few days and thats a joke! hehe I cant find anything rare or good, and cant trade cuz dont have anything to trade with...i would have to say that i nominate myself as the worst pso player...i play at work at home, all the time...have lots of hours into it, and still suck! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I've met some of the worst PSO players ever in challenge mode in DC V.2. One guy kept dying on the 1st challenge in Forest 1. We ended up abandoning him and made our own game, and managed to get S-Rank times threw the 1st three challenges with only 3 people.

my suggestion to those who are having trouble staying alive in seemingly low levels is mag, mag, mag. take sometime while your hanging around the house to really beef up your mag. the stat boosts, especially for power and mind, can be amazingly beneficial. hen i was on the dc i had the most amazing mags... *sigh* there is no worst player on pso. everyones bad at something. i have friends who beast me in plain old pso but get into challenge and who's the one dropping her scape for the other players all the time... oh and im chock full of 9 star rares and nothing else.... i have to trade and socialize to get real rares... and i also have trouble with the mech gun combo occasionally.. damn those things

It was a few months before I even knew that you could do combos on Mechguns, but spending most of my time with a Skyly, I didn't find too many Mechguns...

I wouldnt use a mechgun at all if it didnt have a combo. Its such a long time between each time you fire.

I have a TERRIBLE habit of not paying attention to my health in melee combat. Since HUmars are meant to be in the front lines and take a good beating I stop paying attention to it and eventually get killed...one time I got the comment

"You know, for a level 50, you sure die a lot" - this wouldn't have been as humiliating if it didn't come from a level 30 FOnewearl

i used to suck as well, playing online really helps. I seem to take a lot of damage for a Ranger (resta is my best friend) but it seems enemies follow me around a lot, i guess they like me lol.

anyway dont get down, everything gets better with time!

You guys are being too hard on yourselves. Just because you don't have "uberleet" weapons or mags doesn't make you bad players. Bad players are people who know how to play the way they should, but don't. For example, the lvl 81 FOnewm using a Double Saber in Ult Ruins, never used a tech.

"play the way they should, but don't"?

that has to be a joke.

maybe they were looking for a challenge? maybe the player thought the double saber just looked so damn cool, it just had to be used. i know hunters that love guns, and rangers that love melee weapons, and they sure as hell aren't "bad" players. The only way a person should play, is however they want.

The only bad players, are the ones who think they have the right to determine what make another player bad.

Er, if a Force character is using a Double Saber type weapon in Ultimate Mode, they'll probably be asked to leave. When you join a game online you're expected to help support the team, not burden them.

You're right that you can do whatever you want, but don't expect people to babysit someone that seems to have no clue what they're doing.

Experiment in earlier difficulty modes, normal and hard especially...

As for Hunters using guns, that's easy to understand because Hunters have high ATP so any gun they can use will be pretty strong. The "right" way for a Hunter to play is to take on as many enemies as possible, or single out the strongest enemies and keep them away from weaker characters. Again I'm not saying anyone _has_ to do this, but at higher difficulty modes it becomes expected, and people won't respect someone as much when they get themselves or others killed needlessly.

Sometimes we all get a brain-clog and do something dumb, but when a character of a particular class basically refuses to do the thing they're best at and adds nothing to the group, they'll be shoo'd off.

the worst pso player is some1 who either
1.cheats
2.is an ass to others
3.is annoying
4.grabs all the items and leaves non for others
5.steals all the exp

but this is just my opinion, not like it matters or anything

I've been playing the same character since launch (GC), and I've just recently got to lvl 46. Then again, I stopped playing for long periods of time a few times. Do I qualify as the one of the worst?
