Picked up a 10% Ice Vish Diragac for 500k, on PC/PS2 servers (I like blue <_<). Yeah, the %s suck, but I figure it'll mainly be used for the instakill SE, not for outright damage.

So far, I've only played with it a little. Seems to work fairly well. A lot of times, I'd be killing S2 grunts (in the event) within two or three hits. Not combos, and not on already-damaged enemies. Two or three hits to take out freshly-spawned enemies.

I'm tired, so I've yet to come up with a very rigorous test method. As of right now, I tried Rescue Hyuga A with my 150/20 male human AT. First place I could think of with a lot of low-STA enemies.

Using that 10% Ice Vish Diragac and no Shifta (and taking off my L/KK), I spammed Vishi Grudda and normal attacks, finishing in 9:54. I ended up using two Photon Charges, as I did a lot of JA'ed normal attacks to regain PP, trying to see how well normal attacks would trigger it.

I went back through, using Shifta and my LKK with a 32% Ground Vish Adac, spamming Vishi Grudda. This time, I finished in 7:34. I ended up using 4 Photon Charges, instead of normal attacks.

Possible issues:

-Very low-hp enemies. The higher the enemy's HP, the more value wiping all of it at once out will have. You have to get to the point where you can't kill an enemy with outright damage in one combo, but you can occasionally instakill them for stuff like this to become worthwhile. S2 grunts are like that.

-I didn't use the same number of Photon Charges. Feeding in charges benefits the Adac/pure damage test more, as its damage relies on the PA modifier. Vish Diragac's instagib relies on how many hits you do in a given amount of time.

-I forgot to bring my lightning armor, so I was occasionally interrupted on the first (Vish Diragac) test. This probably slowed me down.

- I used Vishi Grudda. I think, in terms of "how many hits can you get off in a given period of time", spamming the first part of Vivi Danga would work better.

I would imagine that if I could control for these four factors (using high HP enemies, use the same number of charges, be sure I'm not interrupted and use the most "optimum" PA for the job, the race will be much closer.

Still, a 1:24 difference between opposite-element 30% with 41 Shifta and LKK vs a neutral weapon with no Shifta and no LKK isn't so bad.

More to come as I do more tests. I'm tired and achy. If anyone else wants to pick up in this vein, feel free.

Yeah, the test I did was quite similar as I was using a lightning Diragac on fire enemies and they would incap roughly once every 4 hits. Now this may not seem too great but again the AT is not a DPS class so killing enemies every 4 hits is pretty good, especially when Danga hits 5 targets 4 times just from the first portion of the PA.

For me, the main benefit of the whip would be against high hit point enemies that have multiple hit boxes. As the Diragac would not be used for damage the initial just attack could be avoided and you could either go straight into the PA or just counter into it as well.

Another thing to note is that Megid already causes incap, so the Diraga is a circular version of Megid with a varying element. In most cases Megid is actually superior as it pierces and can be cast from a safe distance. That being said, I would be interested in seeing if a high % Adac can kill a Drua Gohra (Awoken Serpent) faster than Diragac, or if Megid can kill a group of Boomas (Sakura Blast) faster than the Diragac. If the Diragac could incap an Ubakrada just half the time, it would be worth it's weight in gold.

Damn, I had no idea those things triggered incapacitate so much!
