I had a couple of questions about these things.

1. Is it possible to get a 50% if you choose one of the striking weapons? If so, what are the odds, roughly, of this actually happening?

2. The description when you go to do the trade says something about them being prototypes that exceed the originals (I'm paraphrasing). Do you do more damage with these weapons than the regular ones? Are these things pretty much the opposite of the Stec weapons?

They just grind rather well from what I've looked at. Other than that they seem pretty worthless. *shrug*

Then again I don't care for the 3rd tier weapon models they use. That and I don't grind many weapons. xP

The element and % is random, but they can go as high as 50%. Also, there is no penalty to using them unlike the Stec weapons. In some cases the Promote series is better or comparable to the best S-ranks while in other cases they are not. I would suggest viewing the stats of each weapon before trading in for it as some of them are quite low.

The only additional note I have seen is that the Soda Promote (Longsword) regens 12 PP per tick. It is possible that the promote weapons all regen 12 PP per tick or simply more than normal. I believe my friend just purchased a Promote weapon so I will have to ask him about the PP regen feature. I will update this post if I get an answer from him.

If you go into the trade mission and read what the guy (can't remember his name) says about the Promote weapons they all were developed to exceed the normal Photon Regeneration for that weapon class.

Oh, one more thing about them. They're S-ranks. So its easy master class gear.

But yeah, treat em like you would anything kubara.

The fists are good if you aren't a Beast. It's an easy to get non-element locked, non-racial exclusive S rank fist. Same with the sword for females.

My only complaint for the Promoto weapons is the lack of a shotgun.

Really? Which ones?

If I told you I would ruin the market for myself as everyone reading this thread would go and buy them all up. If you want the full stats check out this site, http://www.amesani.org/psu/db/index.php, as it has most weapons listed up to 10 grinds. A little research never hurt anyone as it separates the intelligent players from the lazy ones.

No worries though, if there are not enough of the weapon I am looking for after a few weeks I will be sure to update this thread with the best Promote weapons in order to create an influx of them for me to browse and possibly purchase.

The claw and twin claws should also be good, if you get an element other than dark or ice.

Rifle seems decent, and i just loved using the A-rank GRM type from time to time.
I´m waiting for that and i´m gonna get Twin Handgun soon (after i get at least one Pakuda board from the story mission). Deathmaker is a old favorite of mine too.

Only reason i see for some promote weapons are really for the Master types in case you wanna use old favorites on them.

Really, the only promote weapon worth getting is the mukpromoto (sp?). Grinded 10 times, it's better than a mugunruk 10/10 by 5 atp. It has around 120 more pp than the mugunruk as well.

The promoto pit 10/10 is almost as good as a pushan 10/10 as well. Other than those, the twin claws are decent, don't really match up to twin bear claws but about as good as the yamata's. The Promoto Cannon 10/10 has really good pp (1800+) and decent atp (720).
