Items People Think Are Duped Are Evil !?!?!?

Hey can some one answer a question for me, why is it that weapons that people "think" are being duped become evil and no one wants them or trades them?
Almost every one i ask says that every J-Sword is duped and that there are no legit ones, and other examples are the Ancient Saber, and the Dark Flow every one online says there duped why is this? I think that Dark Flow and Ancient Saber look cool

It's neat to see an extremely rare weapon for the first time...But after seeing the 600th person with that same weapon, it gets kinda...Dumb.

If there are any legit J-Swords, it's going to be nearly impossible to tell the difference.

Oh well!

Doesn't affect me, whether there's a million duped piles of junk or not, I'll still be playing online.

What does it matter whether an item is duplicated or not? I wouldn't feel any different if I traded for a duplicated item, than if I traded for the same type of item except being non-duplicated.

Meh... "legits" are just ppl with ego problems and feel the need to put down others in any way possible. I trade dupes with friends, and frankly, I have alot of fun tryin out some of the stuff. I don't condone massive duping and rare proliferation but if I find out a friend of mine dupes I won't turn my back on him :/

this topic has really nothing to do with cheatings the only thing im asking is why do people consider these weapons evil i asked for opinions you didnt have to move it to the Cheaters Forum, is it because i said dupe???

Duped items are not evil. Neither are the people who created them. It's not difficult to accept that people cheat, but it's still extremely annoying when someone runs around in episode one killing everything with a duped BKB rather than letting others tag the critters...I don't see why people need to "show off" these things when episode 1 is already so easy. (Of course it would be just as lame in episode 2, but I don't play episode 2 in Vega usually...Not that Antares is "clean" these days, still better though.)

Anyway duped items and dupers are not evil. It's quite fun to ruin a duped user's day by either not raising them when they die or killing everything before _they_ get to it, heheh. If anyone ever finds a 100% safe way to duplicate character data onto another memory card (meaning both memory cards have permanent versions of the character data) I would definately do it. I don't think that's evil, I'm just very concerned with all the recent corruptions these days...It almost scared me offline, but that has gotten so boring lately. I've gotten about 10 FSOD's total, never losing more than just Meseta and/or recovery items...Still scary when all of a sudden the game locks up and buzzes at me. Eesh.

For some reason there are people who play PSO that hate others who dupe weapons, from what I've been told it makes the game boring some how...

Sega makes really rare dupes so hard to find it sends a lot of people to duping..I don't consider duping evil or anything like that

Sega should find a way to track down dupes and ban every character with one, until the duped item has been destroyed. IE: quit the game in offline while the damn thing is laying on the ground. Once a char has no duped items, they should be allowed to connect with them. Of course, they could just store the duped items offline with another char, but what fun is showing off a really kick ass item to yourself? People that dupe are losers. Period. Without integrity, Pso is a joke online.

1. Cheating hurts the game (yes, that's a fact I can support with evidence)

2. Duping is cheating

3. Sonic Team is against cheating

1 + 2 + 3 = By having/circulating/trading duped items, you are contributing to make PSO a real crummy place. In addition, you are also making ST's life much more difficult that it has to be.

Those are the factual things. I do have a lot of personal issue with the ethics of duping and such.

You might also want to add, if they didn't have to worry about duping and work on it(double-save patch etc) they might have more time to add quests and fix the C-mode glitches.

duping is stupid earn it b4 u dupe and u are right they will be able to add quests and fix the c-mode glitches
