Dedicated to the preservation of balance, the Guillotine Cross traverses the universe in a constant vigil to maintain and uphold the balance of good and evil at all costs. It cannot be bought, it cannot be reasoned with, and it cannot be escaped.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moving into our fifth month of existence with more than 70 members who have left or stayed with us, we are now in the process of meeting with individuals who want an active community of Guild members to run with.

If you are the sort of person who wants to look before you leap, then read onward.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Order of the Guillotine Cross had been originally established mainly from ex-Mercenaries of Light members during friction between their guild head and one of his Administrators.

After wishing him the best we separated on good terms to pursue each of our own goals and ideals in PSU. The weeks following saw drastic change for both guilds and now each are uniquely different.

The Order of the Guillotine Cross, geared more towards the rapid advancement of it's members is a Guild for those who play very regularly (every day or two even if it's for only a few hours) and who are looking for a large base of teammates that they can count on running with often.

We are an active guild with over 40 members and close to 30 members who are online every day and are always looking for company in their runs. We attempt to ensure that our members always have a small supply of other guild members to run with at any given point of the day and we sponsor frequent events and gatherings of interest at least once every 1-2 weeks. (Although not during Official events.)

If you are interested and as of yet still unconvinced as to the state of the guild, please read on. The following is just an overview of the unique things to expect from the Order of the Guillotine Cross.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Active Forums
For those members who are interested in discussion about anything related- or not related- to PSU or the guild, the O.G.C. boasts an active message board with over 20 different forums dependent on your preferred medium of discussion.

In the event that you find yourself interested in the guild we even have forums dedicated to non-guild members where you can interact with our members and find out more about those you are thinking about joining.

Guild Bank
With so many members working towards common goals a large supply of items that specific members don't use are stored for future guild use. Our full members are free to use anything of interest out of the guild bank, however without donating the guild bank would never have such nice things to be used.

Character/Player Rankings
If you are the type who enjoys a good challenge and/or distinguishing him/herself in the eyes of others we have a Character Ranking System in which a member can undergo a series of trials based upon character level to raise themselves to their chosen level of distinction.

Or if you're really up for challenging yourself to be the best you can undertake one of our player ranking trials and distinguish yourself dramatically.

Member Spotlight
Much akin to the GM event "Mission Spotlight", the Member Spotlight is a new program instituted by the guild to get every guild member familiar with their other teammates.

In the spirit of the aforementioned rapid advancement of our members the Member Spotlight takes a member of good standing and places them in the spotlight. For two weeks time all members will be encouraged to take the time to run with that member, spend time with them, or even give them an item/weapon they could use.

With different members in the spotlight bi-weekly, no member is left out.

Frequent and Numerous Events
At the O.G.C. our focus is on getting our members the most enjoyment they can get out of their game time, and as such we are proud to boast numerous events open solely to guild members. Also we have somewhat recently hosted our first public event and had a wonderful turnout. We will definitely be hosting more public events in the future.

Voice Chat Capabilities
If you are the sort of person who would rather speak with your teammates instead of typing in those all-too-limiting chat boxes, O.G.C. is home to their own private Ventrilo Server.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, Ventrilo is a free-to-use program that allows anyone with a headset/ mic and speakers to speak with others in a Ventrilo Server while playing their game of choice.

If interested but still unsure of how to go about obtaining/running Ventrilo a number of our members will help you in getting it set up.

Regular Correspondence from Guild Heads
One of the things I hated about joining guilds (although I never had this problem with MoL) is when joining a guild, the guild leader always seemed distant and hard to reach. Well for our Guild members who are interested, we try to keep in as frequent contact as possible by many forms of instant messaging programs.

We use a large variety of ways to ensure regular correspondence from our guild heads. Some of the many ways are AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN, Xfire, even e-mail correspondence. This way if there is something going on and you are not in PSU we can still alert our members.

C-Box
What is a C-Box you ask? The C-Box is the key to our guild's ability to stay in close contact when looking for groups to party with or even chat with other members w/o use of an instant messenger.

Located on the guild site, the C-Box is a small chat log that many of our members use for informing the rest of the guild when they are running missions. Equally many of our new applicants have used the C-Box to get in contact with the guild and get information they needed before applying.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, if you are interested we do have a few requirements of our new recruits:

- Members of the O.G.C. tend to range from 18-24 years of age (with some ranging below and above of course). As such, topics of discussion can get fairly mature and our recruits are advised to be 16 years of age or older.

- Upon applying you will be asked for an e-mail address at which you can be contacted. This must be a functional and working e-mail address. If you do not have one, they are fairly easy to sign up for. This is necessary for contacting members who have not been seen in-game in long periods of time, as well as newsletter correspondence.

-Since a lot of our information is passed on the guild site when we are not able to contact members via IM or e-mail, members are encouraged to check the guild site and participate in a forum thread at least once every 2-5 days.

- Any member being inactive either in-game or on the guild site without notice for three (3) weeks (21 Days) will be warned of their inactivity. If inactivity continues 10 days past warning members may be removed from the Guild Roster.

-If you disagree with the way something is run/dealt with, bring it to the attention of a Guild Admin or Moderator. If the problem is with an admin or moderator, PM the Guild Head. Flaming, Trolling, or otherwise making a bother of yourself is grounds for removal from the guild and it's programs.

-Enjoy the game, and get as much out of joining us as you can. We are here for our members, not the other way around. If you aren't having fun, neither are we.

-Be a PC/Ps2 Player. Sorry but as of right now we are not a Xbox360 capable guild.

- All new recruits enter into a "Trial Period" when entering the guild. For your first 3 weeks with us you will be expected to be active in guild activities, keep current and active on the guild site, be accessible and friendly to fellow guild members, and in general spend time with the Guild. Failure to do so may result in premature removal from the Guild.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With all that said, if you find yourself interested or even a bit curious, don't hesitate to PM me or go and take a look at the site yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised.
