Also, Lancer-class frigate has 20+ quad laser turrets optimalized for targeting very small, high-speed objects.

I doubt that A-wings, taking their durability (or lack of thereof) would be able to fight against it for long... they have better chance of running than anything...

You know what some people in Rouge Squadron think about A-wings anyway, especially against Lancer.

Also, it was very dumb for Empire to not use Lancers, especially with Interceptor-418 a.k.a Interdictor-class crusiers, seening that former could massacre practically any fighter Alliance got, and latter could prevent them from jumping into hyperspace. Any capital ship Rebellion had could've been moped up by Tie-Bombers and Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
