I haven't played PT since pre AOI, but I'm sure it hasn't changed.

they can only use saber and handgun when it comes to single weapons, although most don't use them, i guess i just like to have a saber/hand gun combo no matter the class

As my PT is some kinda joke character, I don't use so much "pr0" weapons but funny ones:

Knuckles: Drill Knuckles
Shotgun: Van Brella
Spear: Gekitsnata
Lazor: Needle Cannon
Axe: Bil de Axe
Launcher: Koltova Gun

I use all PAs for each weapon, and I got a set for all melee ones. I also use Green Green line to power up the Koltova Gun. I don't use sabers/guns because I don't really like them, and bows and swords are already used by my GT and WT so I'm sticked with these weapons.

i change my palette right before bosses in most missions. but mostly i use this:
sword (svaltus / cutter / slayic)
spear (muk / promo)
spear (promo / geki)
axe (zagza / bil / promo)
shotgun (brella / all s ranks)
longbow / laser (rikau / nasu // degahna / needle // bazga / song)

and changes are grenade lauche instead of bow / laser

needle (element) - there's usually some kind of enemy that shows up conveniently arranged for lasers
desta (element or maga*) - this is my main damage
desta (element 2 or chamga*) - main damage for other element
viper (burn/virus) + blackheart (spinning strike) / iggac (bogga robado) - single-target bulletproof enemies
iggac (zubba) or bil de axe/zagza (dugrega) - I'd just be a gunner if I wasn't spamming crowd control as appropriate
gur asted (duranga) or kan yu*** (spinning break) - boss damage

* maga does better damage than you think thanks to insane ATA, works equally on all enemies, and the debuff is nice for Just Counter and reducing need to heal. I would use this way more often if my online PT was Human (needs ATA help, has good EVP) instead of Cast (too proud to boost ATA, no EVP to speak of)
** chamga is great for herding enemies for traps even in parties
*** for those times I don't want to blow myself up, also it looks cool

In PS:P Protranser has new toys... I like it a lot better:
Gur Hanab (element) - with launch instead of knockback, grenades are the best way to kill formations of enemies if you can hit them fast enough
Deganha Cannon (element) or Psycho Wand (ice or lightning or earth) - equally good for linear attacks on a human PT
Twin Falclaw (renzan) - great single-target damage
Carriguine Rucar (spiral dance) - awesome PA, like Bogga Danga but faster and harder
Agito Repca (tornado break) - can't beat for AOE damage
Rattlesnake (mayalee) - bosses, stopping annoying monsters at long range

sometimes I switch for Spread Needle (maga) - my character's a human, this wins

My Fortefighter uses all twin claws: 3 Falclaws, 2 Bearclaws, and a Yamata Misaki.

Ooo PT pallets! How did I not see this thread earlier!? My main character has always been PT, it was her first class back in ver. 1 :3 her second class is FG, i switch her sometimes to FG so she can match her canine PM xD I havent made her into any of the master classes since none really suit her.

Weapons:
Mugunruk: 38% fire
Nasuyoteri: ground/lightning
Madam brella: Neutral (Barada chamga)
Huge cutter: 50% ice
Shigga pakuda: dark
Ank bico: 37% light

I have an entire Ank bico rainbow pallete I like to use for fun sometimes, since her image is that of a young child :3 She also carries a koltova gun at times n.n
