Well though male newmans are the rarest species in PSU, at least this looks like the best male competition of the four. I hate how most of the newman males look in game but Izuna actually doesnt scare me as some tend to be hideous. Also, helps him that I have a thing for evil looking characters.

Mm, my vote goes to Raz!. Sad eyes look as good on guys as they do on chicks. Plus he's not abusing the Dezolian look.

Raz! : he has very warm feeling but sad at the same time, it is very hard to describe, but it is something very attractive.

Goldbrease : he is uhmm... Ragolas in LoR type? the type favorite type for female. (but opposite by male)

Izuna : I like his evil look that fit well to his RP char. He look like a strongest one in here.

Force : oh well, his look is very unique. I m not sure if this look can count as idol one or not, but he look like a farmer or some sort of very old senior techer who live secretly in the village. It really fit the theme on the viilage best. oh well I got a new idea for the description.

Raz!: The coat kills it for me. I'm sick to death of seeing males use that coat- although I can sympathize as males barely have any good clothing options.

Goldbrease: Probably the best candidate, the clothes match pretty well. I don't like blonde but he stands out the most.

Izuna: I don't like pretty boys, which this contest seems to have a lot of. Outfit is ok I guess, but I can't stand the way he looks.

Force: It's certainly an...original outfit. Honestly though, I don't think it goes together though; sorry.

I guess I'll vote for Goldbrease, but I'm disappointed with the selection of candidates. 2 (could debate it's 3) are prettyboys, and the one that isn't doesn't match (in my opinion). Mind, these are probably the only 4 Male Newmans left on the server, so I guess there isn't much choice. :wacko:

I like the fact that the contestants can go out and advertise and persuade ppl that theyre the best, but i wouldnt say that mass mailing on psow and begging ppl to vote for a contestant would make them an idol. No offense, it is a smart idea, but it somehow seems like an odd way to get votes, wouldnt one think? xD

Well, although normally I allow every methods that one could think to get vote, it is first time that I see this method on asking random and see how effective is it.

It is legit. However, from PSOw rule, I think that it might be better idea to not doing any mass mails to annoy random users. On the final poll, I think that I will limit this "vote me! please" to only among friends only. (at least it gotta be somebody he knows)

to check if it is random or friend:
when any candidate mail to annoy any random, that random will do the way Pwincess (http://www.pso-world.com/forums/member.php?u=59598) just did, and he will be disqualify

Well as i said earlier, its not something id consider doing, even if i wasn't sick for so long lol, if someone votes for me it'd be because they wanted to rather than it being because i tried to influence the voters decision, dont get me wrong, im all for promoting yourself but i just wouldnt bother people i didnt know to vote for me, especially since it could backfire. With that said im glad to see that this wont happen again and the finals will be decided through genuine opinions over who got the spam mails in first. Well done to everyone who participated.

Well, it's still quite risky to do it this way.
Forum friendship is too much of an unpredictable "science" to know who you're going to "annoy" or not. Sometimes, you can think someone's your friend while that isn't reciprocal. Not to add even friends aren't there to always agree with you 100% of the time.

I, for example, only know Goldbrease among the newman contestants, and prolly among the contestants in the final poll later on, and I consider him as a PSU friend.
But if I'm getting an "advertisement PM" during the final poll, whether it's from him or someone else, I won't hesitate to quote it and post it in the thread, just because I'm strongly against the idea.

Ohhh sorry, im glad the contestant im hinting at actually understands me and takes no offense.

Refreshing my point, mass mailing on psow just seemed odd to me because ppl dont know you, but mass mailing on game is the same as mass mailing your friends, I mean, why else would you have their card? xD! And theres no point in mass mailing the ones that are never on, so you end up mailing about 20 or less friends :B (pc/ps2 anyways)

However, I think if there are going to be future contests like this, the rules should be a little stricter. I think that posting pics of your character in different looks (not the final look in the competition) is kinda cheating the purpose. Especially if you change your hairstyle/colour, eyes, etc (especially face!). Also posting screenshots in the thread -KINDA- sways the voters to vote a certain a way.

And the male polls had no where NEAR the variety that the female polls had. I'm a gay male and I like looking at menz, but the females were better.

Congrats Goldbrease though. I liked your look the most (being the only HUnewm is a +, buuut it kinda looked like a diet-HUnewm....still cool nonetheless). I wouldve voted for Raz second probably.

thank you luu. yes, he is a bit skinnier then i wanted when i made him, but when i tried making him a bit wider it made his hips became extremely fat lol.

as for pictures, i believe this poll had the least extra pictures compared to the other 3. also possibly the least amount of posts, but possibly the most votes.
