XBox: Being able to play a different region PSO

Okay, I'm in Europe - and if you haven't heard, MS are not connecting the Japanese, American, and European Xbox servers *mutter*.

I'd much rather play with Americans than Europeans. I want to get an American Xbox and American copy of PSO (well, seeing as you can't mod your 'box if you want to play on Xbox Live). Does anyone think there'll be any compatibility issues in doing this? IE, with the BBA, with using the American Xbox Live, with MS possibily blocking foreign IPs, etc?

My guess the only compatiblity problem would be using an NTSC xbox on a pal tv, or possibly the power supply. You'll have to get a step down converter so it doesn't blow up.

But I doubt microsoft will take steps to block EU players with a US xbox.

The only snag you could run into is providing a north american address when signing up for live. And since there's no current plans to bring PSOX to Europe...it may be the best course of action.
