Hey guys, I just want to know. Do you think it's worth it to go back and play PSOv2 on Dreamcast? I own a Dreamcast and a Sony PS2, but not the GC or the xbox, and it's not going to be compatible anyways with the dreamcast. I gotta pay for the Hunter's License and the ISP, (unless you know of free ones)...are there enough ppl to enjoy games still? Are there still people who are nice and wililng to help you out? Is the game still fun online? Or should i save that little money and go for EQ online for the PS2 (although i'd hate to have to pay for the BBA and the online fee).

It's just that ihaven't played an MMORPG in a year now, and it was a great experience. What do you guys think i should do?

I would have to tell you Everquest is NOTHING like PSO. Sure it's an RPG, but the gameplay is totally differant (and personally I hate it, but many enjoy it), If you want to play PSO, get a 'cube or a 'box!

i dont think dc-pso is worth paying a hl for...

i'm online from time to time but just to play with good friends or to chat with some new friends (i hardly play - neither normal game nor challenge and i not even think about battle mode but thats personal preference ^_^;)

then i heard everquest is not so good so i would advise either:
-get cube or x-box and stick with ep1&2

or
-stick with offline-rpgs

nonetheless
have fun ^_^

rena-ko is right. buying another license is not that good of an idea anymore... unless you find a block to yourself and some friends you trust that are on at the same time as you can be. just about all people whom i trusted are all gone from dreamcast for assorted reasons.

It's .... So empty ...

US > Never more than 150 players
JP > Never more than 200 players (in weekends)
EU > Never more than 100 players (Most EU players
seem to be playing on japanese ships.)

Total in weekends hardly beats 1000 players nowdays. So it's pretty quiet on DC PSO right now.
NOL is quite rare btw ...
If you look carefully for a game, you can still find a nice team with strangers to play with (You will have to deal with the risk of getting hacked, but now it's even part of the fun ... lol)

The people on JP ships are getting concentrated on
Io-11 (JP challenge mode block) and Europa-02 (JP normal game block)

For US it's Oberon-01 (US players who do play there, do it with V1 mostly)

There's also some blocks with people on Euro ships, but are usually a group of spanish, french or german users playing together.

Hmm, I might renew my HL for Ver.2 again just to be able to play the game without having to worry about getting NOL'd. I never got to experience that peace on V.2.

Also, BTW. Stay FAR FAR FAR away with Everquest on PS2, even if you liked it on PS2. The game looks horrible, the land looks plain, and the game gets old quick.

I was a part of beta 2 and 3.
