Hmm I was just wondering if anyone culd explain to me why Fonewearl has a higher A.T.A max then FoMar when Fomar is suppose to be one of the melee force while FoneWearl sould avoid hand to hand at all cost is this just a sad attempt to make HuMar look better? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif *LOL*

It's called Sonic Team has horrible planners and their attempts to balance the gameplay actually made it even more unbalanced than before. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Hmmm O.K I see its just sonicteam messing up a bit http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif I knew something had to be wrong because that really makes no sense imo.

actually i think ST wanted to make it the most TP friendly force (what with being able to use tp drain items, tp regen, hiest mst, etc), while the fomar is..well, meant to hit stuff.

No...that explains the Fonewearl. The Fomar has poor ata just to piss people off.

It's about balance. It wouldn't be fair to make one character high in all stats.

Think about it. If FOmar did have the highest ATA, it would make him too favorable - It'd be like giving HUcast & RAcast the highest ATA in their respective classes.

It's basically a trade-off.

the FOmar was made to be a challenge for veteran pso players to use.

Phalanx point actually made sense to me. And made my pissed off mood towards sonic team a bit relaxed ^_^

The stats are assinged not to just please the user, but for the sake of balance amoung all the classes.

An example(s):
Technically since Hunters are in the front of battle they should have the highest ATA, DFP, HP, and EVP of any other class. Since they get hit the most out of any other class, and also since missing up close is far more deadly then missing from afar with a gun it would make logical sense that the hunters should be the highest in these stats...but that would be unfair and horribly unbalanced.

So different character have trade offs. HUcast gets insane ATP but his ata is too low to use low ata weapon properly and perform normal, hard, hard combos is the tougher stages. Do to his lower accuracy he has a higher chance to miss against certain enemies if he uses low ATA weapons...hence the superior tanking stats to compensate for getting hit after missing. His higher atp means that even by just doing a normal/normal/hard hit, his overall higher atp will make up the 2nd hit being normal instead of hard.

In the case of FOmar his atp is REALLY high. So high infact he can deal enough damage to be compareble to a hunter...but with ata so low he can't abuse his melee ability to make his the ovious power house FO, your ability to melee effectively on certain enemies is limited and thus you must stick purely to tech casting on high evp enemies.

What makes FOmar a challenge in general is being able to properly melee on tougher stages. So you need to obtain high HIT percent weapons allowing him to open up his melee options on tougher stages. Despite high hit weapons some enemies are still too evasive as thus is techs will see more useage.

FOnewearl also has her problems. Certain enemies in PSO are highly tech resistant online(ie.C bringer) or are immune to tech amplifiers(ie.vol opt, and ep2 sinows). Also certain enemies are weak to certain techs which aren't really very effective for the enemy(ex.Gilhichs in Ep2 are weak to grants, but since they spawn in groups a mass damage spell would be better, but there is no mass damage grants and it's slow to cast).

If you wanted to be hardcore about using a FOnewearl you'd carry high atp weapons and bust em out just against those specific enemies, but thanks to FSOD i'd avoid doing that.

So even for her, being purely tech reliant means she has draws backs on certain enemies. Also in the easier stages, the FOmar can deal good melee damage with out using TP while the FOnewearl has to use TP to damage the enemies(although being in the back secures your safety). But since they are easier stages it's not as a big deal as in seabed or ruins.

Pretty much every class has there advantages and disadvantages, even if it doesn't work in their favor; although not every class is perfectly balanced.

yea there just trying to balance out the characters i mean imagine if hucast as the same ata as hucaseal combined with his huge amounts of atp he would be just to good
