I believe the Protectors thing this time around is the Second Thanks Festa event, A.K.A. the Second Anniversary event. Don't know if they're bothering coming up with a name or not. We (might) get the other protectors event sometime soon, if you click on the one link and follow it to the Second Thanks Festa event page, that might be what we're getting.

I think Supervisor's Edict might be like the Briefing mission with Shred the Darkness - you go there, they say "Space Uncle Sam needs YOU!" and away you go with the event. Then again, I have no idea as I'm posting from work and haven't had a big opportunity to look everything over real well. Still, another chance at a Guld, since I missed my first shot at one, isn't that bad. I'd be happy to scour these missions JUST to get nothing but that, as I have no problem playing the most repetitive, mundane missions out there ad infinium until I get myself a Milla.


Edit: Figures, once my PT gets to the point that I can use one of my 4 Song for Deaths, EVERYONE's gonna have one. Oh well, until then I can be one of the few singing "Reading Rainbow!" as I blow enemies away...

Ah, fair enough. The update page is worded badly- makes it sound like Supervisor's Edict is a 'true' mission as well.

Anyway, great update- the only thing that bothers me is how the PA boost is running through an event; while I'd love a Milla, I have PA's to level as well, and with something like Lasers, I'm not sure I can do both at once.

1- This event will have 2 missions, just 1 of them will be available now, and the other will be available in a few weeks (there's no announcement yet on how long the 1st mission will last). The first mission has De Rol Le and Alterazgohg as bosses, the second one has Mother Brain and Dark Falz.

2- Most likely it's only the 2nd wave of items that is going to be released on Desert Arms Shop, which includes Go Vahra Claw, Ank Kireek, DB's Sword+, Neiclaw+, Twin Neiclaws+, Crea Doubles+, Guld & Milla, Dallgun Rod and Twin Grip (item needed to get Guld & Milla).
Adahna Degahna Cannon was only available on the 3rd wave of items on the JP version.

I believe the 'new drops' for Falz was actually referring to Kireek Soul (biomaterial needed for Ank Kireek, which will be added to Desert Arms Shop this Friday, have fun killing yourself, etc). Besides, the Killer Elite board is from Lv150+ Dark Falz anyway, which we don't have. We'll have to wait until The Dark God S2 for a permanent drop for the weapon. Until then, Protectors Delta is the only option. Just to clarify; you won't be able to find Killer Elite boards on Friday, since we're only getting Protectors Gamma for the time being. It'll probably be added in a week or two.

Likewise, the new drop for De Rol Le probably isn't Ank Buti boards (may be wrong though, drop could be changed from Mugunburga boards like JP). It's probably referring to Bloody Score α; which is an item you'll need to exchange for a Song for Death in Desert Arms Shop (along with Bloody Score β, 99x Note Seeds and a Star Amp).

It starts this Friday. While I don't know how long it'll last, there will be two missions altogether; so I'd expect a couple of weeks at least.

As for the Shred the Darkness rewards; if you didn't participate you likely won't have gotten the item rewards (like Sonic Discs, Darkness Preta and so on), but you will be entitled to the boosts (PA boost, grind boost, increased casino payout, synth bonus etc). If it's like the usual, everyone on the server will be entitled to those; regardless of whether they played Shred the Darkness or not.

That's really sad actually. It wasn't that long ago events gave us 3 stars usually, sometimes peaking around 3 and a half. Of course, seeing 2 will feel great compared to the usual 1 which seems to be the norm now, but that's still pretty damn depressing considering it's an event with a lot of rewards.

The 360 still averages 5-7 stars on a regular night without anything going on. I think SEGA should offer up PSU with a free month for PC players... or an online demo like the 360 version.

The population of the 360 does indeed eclipse the PC/PS2...but it really doesn't say much. Aside from one or two random parties possibly being at any given lobby, the hotspots are still the same. I have just as much trouble getting a party my level to run something other than hotspots as i did on PC/PS2.

Eh I guess its because there are alot of 360 users in the US and European areas. Besides that number really doesn't surprise me at all. But I do admit and I'd be lying through my teeth when I say I wish I picked up a 360 instead of a PS3. Although I don't regret buying a PS3 I just wish Sega had released a PSU for the PS3. Eh, I guess time will tell if Sega plans to release PS0 for the home consoles or something similar to PS0.

you needed to participate in the Shred the Darkness event . You needed to at least run the Magashi Plan mission far enough to be able to skip the first scene of it to receive the awards...

I think everyone will get the temporary rewards (3* luck, pa exp boost, coins, ...). ^^

Pretty sure everyone will be affected. Gypsy 72, you're not going to lose an arm and a leg of a newbie just started gets 3* luck & the boost. Honestly, it's been the same in the past, they might miss out on rewards such as Sonic Disk and the Decorations, but the other rewards, it's for everyone.

Ezo's right, at least from trends they've set in other event rewards. My sister played right after 1up cup and had the event bonuses from that in effect (like the 3 weeks of luck, the clothing price reduction, etc) but never got the item bonuses from it, such as the twin f. bulb boards participants received. If they keep with what they were doing, these rewards will be for everyone, regardless of when you started, whether or not you played the event, etc.

The only thing I can think of as to why they're congratulating the participants is because THEY were the ones who made the rewards possible, as you had to kill only those monsters in the event for them to count towards the kill total. Well, that and it is considered courteous to thank participants in events.
