the protectors: 24 discs

Im pretty sure the discs go towards the rank on a mission, but ive noticed that only like 11 discs get a s rank.
So what happens with 24 discs?

I'm fairly sure that however many discs you collect is the number of boss boxes at the very end of the mission. It also of course effects ranking.

Note that there are two per each mini block and one in each of the boss fights.

10 gets you an S
and up to 24 discs add more boss boxes in the end.

Can some one put out a guide to finding them, cause I know where most are by now... But I just ran and I'm still missing two of them... I know about the bosses and the actual first VR block... But it seems like I can't get the B's together...

I don't think thats confirmed at all about the discs and boxes..I was helping a friend on S rank and didnt pick up a single disc and all the boxes spawned after killing alterzahgog, not to mention a muktengek drop...

after 10, i believe the number increases.

I solo'd the mission and went back to get all 24. I only ended up with 23, but i did notice a grand increase in the amount of boxes i got.

Did they make it so the better things like LKK only drop from boxes you get for getting more discs or can everything be found with the minimum amount of boxes and more just gives you better chances?

We spent an entire hour of play looking for a single disc that we couldn't find, and just finished the mission with only 23.

A guide would be handy.

The problem is remembering where each appears and which you've already gotten.

This is what you will get.

0 to 5 Discs=C Rank
6 to 7 Discs=B Rank
8 to 9 Discs=A Rank
10+ Discs=S Rank

10 to 11 Discs, Boss Boxes=16
12 to 15 Discs, Boss Boxes=18
16 to 19 Discs, Boss Boxes=22
20 to 23 Discs, Boss Boxes=24
24 Discs, Boss Boxes=28

This is a very easy Solo S2 Mission.
The down side is FM and MF you may want to party up, If the 28 Boss Boxes is in your agenda.
Because there is no way you will be able to get the 'disc' that is grow from the top of the tree in Block "B-c"

There's an invisible one in the Big Push room, did you get that? You need to use your goggles to see it.

I can also confirm from numerous playthroughs that more boxes DO appear if you collect all the discs.

Yeah that last disc has gotten me twice now.

I soloed the mission, took like an hour 15 minutes but i got 23 discs. I shrugged it off and thought i just missed one due to careless error.

Played the mission again with 4 people, went to get all discs together, STILL missed the 24th disc. Im guessing most people just dont know where it is.

you get two per block, and one per boss. if you haven't gotten two disks by the end of each block, then you've definately missed on in that block.

i missed several on my first run, too many hidden rooms. :p
