Phantasy Star goodness at San Diego Comic Con!

Hey everyone,

This one goes out to all of you here in CA, and all those going to San Diego Comic-con later this month! Just like NYCC, where we got to meet a ton of cool people from here in the PSU community, we're going to be going to SDCC, and bringing with us some special swag to give out to you guys here on the boards. (Hardcore fans appreciate it the most. ;) )

If you are going to San Diego Comic-con, there are two ways you can get yourself hooked up with rare Phantasy Star swag! They are:

* Cosplay at SDCC as any Phantasy Star or SEGA character.
* Show up at a SEGA Community Meet & Greet with the right answer to the below trivia questions.

If you've got the knack, pulling off at least one of these should be no problem - and yes, you can double up for 2x the swag if you do both.

The merchandise we'll have with us includes:

* Green and Yellow "Phantasy Star Universe" Wristbands (Limited Edition)
* Vouchers for Blue Orb Texter tins - for those of you who CAN'T TYPE FAST. (Also comes with a PSU Poster and stickers.)
* Two Rare Phantasy Star Universe Figurines by SEGA Toys! (Imported from Japan.)
* Rare Inflatable Rappy Armbands from Phantasy Star Zero

Anyone who puts the effort into cosplaying any character from Phantasy Star will automatically get the PSU Wristband and the PSZ Inflatable Rappy (while supplies last.)

Phantasy Star Trivia Questions for SDCC:

* In Phantasy Star Online, one quest involves a pair of twins and a battle against the organization Black Paper. What are the names of these two twins?
* In Phantasy Star Zero, what is the name of the teenage Newman girl who accompanies you through the game?

The questions shouldn't be too hard, but even if you know the answers, please don't reveal them just yet.

And that wraps things up on my end - it was great meeting so many of you guys at NYCC, and I hope to catch even more of you guys at the convention! Cosplayers will also be getting a feature on the SEGA Blogs, so props to any of you who come dressed up in Phantasy Star apparel.

Yes, as long as I can tell it is a definitely a Phantasy Star costume, you're good to go.

The show starts later this month - July 23rd. If you don't have your badge purchased already though, I think they're sold out and have been for some time. San Diego Comic-con is a huge event and is really big with the anime / comic crowd; in recent years, related video games are also becoming a large part of the show.

i happen to live outside of San Diego, very near actually. if i think i have a bad memory the last time i heard where Comic Con was held at was at the San Diego Convention Center.
too bad i can't go because i suck at making costumes...
well.. there was was that one i did with my jacket(i made it into an assassin's cap).
Comic Con might be cool, if i been there. such a waste.
