July 9th: Maintenance

So, Edward was a little late with announcing it. We're just getting Maintenance (hopefully, it fixes lag!) and they're fixing the Arms Dealer's fixed % errors.

Here's what Edward posted:

Attention, GUARDIANS:

We will have regular weekly maintenance this Thursday, July 9th.

Maintenance for both servers will begin at 11:00 PM (PDT).

We're obviously going to get the Sonic Birthday event, since he had stated it earlier on this week. I think he was just stating what else is going to happen.

alright if you say so, cause when they do main. they usually say it in-game on that banner that comes out, that good day blah blah blah we are doing main. for sonic bday and blah blah.

Cool. Depending on how they make it, they might mess up and let anyone who EVER got one from there exchange it for the mats and try again (which means my cheap 20% chainsawd+ investment will pay off big!) Although I guess the odds of that happening are miniscule-to-infantessimal at best.

I think it only works for the ones that were glitched, before they fixed it.

The JP 360 site says this about compensation. I just posted this at the official board, so now I'm waiting for word from Edward. So if I were you, I'd probably hold off on doing anything until further confirmation.

It says that anyone who sells their botched items from the Desert Arms Shop to an NPC (from any point after end of maintenance on July 4 through July 19 11:59:59p.m. PDT) will receive compensation in the form of the base items required for the exchange. The items will be delivered via common box at a later date. Keep in mind that it must be one of the following items to count:

* Go Vahra Claws (40% lightning)
* Ank Kilik (40% dark)
* DB's Sword+ (37% ice)
* Neiclaw+ (32% fire)
* Twin Neiclaws+ (22% fire)
* Crea Doubles+ (33% light)

If you sell off an item that does not meet these requirements, don't expect to get anything back.

The site gives the following example:

If you sell your 33% light Crea Doubles+ and 37% ice DB's Sword+ to an NPC shop during the above-mentioned period, the following items will be delivered to your common box at a later date.

* Crea Doubles x1
* DB's Sword x1
* Cevalier Edge x2
* Ash Soul x1
* Donoph's Soul x1

Any idea if grinds matter? My Twin Neis are 22%, but 2/10, I'm wondering if that would affect the trade back. I'd rather not sell it to NPC and not get a thing back >_> Hopefully we can get some confirmation on this.

We'll see, I guess. I NPC'd my Claws (if need be, I'll just hunt another Nei Soul). My Claws were 22% though, and I have a picture which shows I did own a 22% Twin Neiclaw+, so if the worst happens and I don't get anything back, I'll just get in contact with Sega Support.

i still have some days. i'll wait till the end then i npc my 33% light crea doubles+ (2/10..). it's not bad but i have no use for it. i hope to get my stuff back :L

Yeah, I got Twin Neiclaw/Nei Soul/Chevalier Edge back (as well as Nights/Birthday Candle decos). Got a 30% Fire Twin Neis+, so that's an improvement.

Also, the Twin Neiclaw I got back in common box was 1% Fire :wacko:

Cool with a 1% weapon though :)

I think 1% would make it the lowest % so far... depending on how many people actually traded for the Nei Claw+ when it was borked, I think it could turn into a real collectors item.
