I mean, I can't even upload a .gif without 10 minutes of loading. I mean, wtf is the entire site powered by a Sega Saturn or something? >_> I knew once they made the switch to flash that it would be slower than normal but Jesus H. Christ born from a Virgin Mary is it slow.

Bitmap is even better, although in that case, I suppose you'd deserve it for using bitmap.

This is why I use Imageshack, because it's not bloated and not garbage.

I use Photobucket. Usually only upload .png though.
.png's go like instant, but obviously, it's not the same as a .gif. :(

It really shouldn't, a single cell .gif is smaller than a .png (this is because a .png has to carry alpha information for transparency effects.)

@Nitro: I would use Imageshack but I have at least 10 GBs of pics on photobucket.

Weird. I always had trouble loading Jpeg and other saves.
The .png is literally, instant uploaded. I thought .gif was a moving picture "show" isn't it?
So it should take slightly longer, right?

I said "Single cell". This means it would be a static and not animated picture. Take a bitmap of a graphic and save it as one .gif and one .png file and you'll see what I'm taking about.

In case everyone is wondering why I would use a .gif for a static picture instead of a .jpg it's because I primarily upload pictures with very few colors where as .jpgs are designed for photo quality pictures (true color with at least 255 different values.) Plus, .jpg decrease in quality if continuously saved or viewed over time due to the algorithm used in jpgs .

o.O

Oh okay.
But, if the .png is instant, how can you get any faster than that?

Hell! even PSO-World can upload images faster than Photobucket. Hang your heads in shame.

Photobucket also got rid of something I found very useful. It's almost as if they want me to ditch them.
