You can request ANYTHING! be it PSO/PSU related.. something creepy? some other games/anime/human you want me to draw for you? I accept pretty much everything..

Basic Rules
• Try to keep your request within the rules of this board. I don't really care about drawings mature stuff, but others here might.
• Make a detailed discription, with preferably as much reference as possible. If you don't, I will make weird poop-art.
• You can pick any style you wan't. Just name the drawing out my gallery with the style you like, and I'll do it.

This is a little project I am working on for about 2-3 months. At first I wasn't planning to share stuff, to prevent interference, but I guess most guys and gals here already found my stuff on my DA, so I figured I could add it here as well. 99% of the stuff I draw for this project is not and will never get colored (by me that is). Smallest breasts/cleavage EVAH!11! :wacko:

It was to hot inside the house and my tablet was all sticky, so I made this while cooling down in the garden.

Made with 4H black pencil for the lines:

Then I used my Faber Castel watercolor pencils to color it. I did the coloring in the opposite way of how I color in photoshop, which worked pretty well.

Keori nurse edition
DA anounced Ray's birthday a week ago, so I thought: lets make some gift art for the heck of it. Ussually I always miss everyones birthdays anymway :wacko:

So it's his beast girl in the PSO nurce outfit. big bust yeah! (don't do that much anymore these days).

Coloring is a little different from usual. It IS actually quite a bit faster .

Laura pencils
Because it was (still is >:() freakin hot here, I couldn't bear to touch my tablet with my swaety hand, so I decided to draw a bit outside in the garden. Somehow I felt the urge to work on Sayara's request.. so here is an idea on paper. I will of course make a new one with my tablet (unless you want me to use this sketch as the sketch for the final digital version, your request.. and requesters are allways winners in my case :wacko:)

OOOOOOOOOOhhh.. how I loved this awesome awesome Saturn game! It's actually I quit rare game.. but somehow my brother obtained a copy of it.. and I played it ALOT when I was a kid :wacko:..

Well what is it? It's a platform game in an extermely stereotypical japanese setting.. back then when I played this game anime was close to 0 on Dutch television.. so for me, this was all cool and new :wacko:

Bus girl
Know this situation?
You're on the bus, and your staring at the back of girl during the trip, wondering what her face and eyes look like, but not being able to see it, untill you're on your destination..
It somehow made me think how fascinating it actually is.. it's comparable.. how a girl with little clothes on can be more 'exciting' to look at, then one that is naked already.

Coloring style is now my lined style for both front and background. I planed to color the lines.. but I was to lazy to actually do it.

A new PSO related drawing! It's Qox.. this time drawn a bit different.. I made some adjustments to her outfit as well.. She's holding an ordinary 'cane' cause she's a low level n00b. I also made the breasts more acceptable to look at :wacko:

The arms and hands look messed, but I'll fix that when lining this thing..

Now.. what should I do for the background?

I was thinking about seabed.. but maybe someone got a better idea for me??

I promised to update after two weeks when I finished it.. BUT.. I've been really bussy.. and I've been procrastinating the lining and flatting of the background for DAAAAAAAYS! but now I am finally progressing passed the 'boring' part of the color what you see here are just 4 basic color layers Flats+cellshades for Qox and Flats+cellshades for the BG. I will color this whole pic similar to the spacechick/busgirl. I hope it will end up as the most awesome art of mine ever, since I am gonna make a big poster out of it.. :P

I like the shadowing on the ceiling pipes but the left hand pinky looks kinda off, its in a side view. I think it should be curled in facing the same direction as the other fingers. Like the fingers in the colored sketch. :] Can't wait to see the finished version.

Erm, wow... I'm really impressed with this last picture, as well as the girl on the bus. It seems like, the more I see your newer works, the more I like them.
I've got to say that, originally, I didn't like your works very much. But these last couple of ones really looked nice to me.

TAKING REQUESTS (kind of...)
Hay guys!

Well, like I just said I finally got myself into practicing by using some reference. I hope to get better at drawing more exciting poses and getting better at anatomy. For now I will focus on only simple Pinup pictures with only one character in it. I will be using pictures of a pretty lady as reference (it was hard to find a model that does full body shots >_>)..

but.. I don't like to completly draw the same person as in my reference pictures. I was thinking of using my own PSO characters.. but that would get boring after a while I guess.. :wacko:

Thats why I want you guys to request stuff.. Like your own PSO/PSU/PSZ characters, your favorite character from other (obscure) videogames, your favorite animeshow/manga characters or even characters you made yourself. Keep in mind that I only have female reference, so unless you don't mind gay poses, I suggest you only request female characters :wacko:

Keep in mind that I will choose the pose for the character myself..

What can you expect? At the very least a detailed sketch with some shadings (like the first picture I've posted.
If I like the sketch alot, I will line it for ya aswell..
If I like the linework, I will even color it.

This is a pure WIN/WIN, so what are you waiting for?? :o

Request as much as you :wacko: I am just starting to take request.. I got 31 reference pictures I want to try and practice, so there are 31 places for requests! You smimply give me some screens of the character, I pick the pose myself, I draw something in my own style and we have this WIN/WIN situation!

Very Awesome. Don't know if it is too much to ask, but is it possible to include a pair of Twin Handguns, on the ground, next to her? Your choice of design. But outside of that request; I think you nailed it from the hair, face, proportion, and outfit detail. I even like how the nose (while still a bit button-nosed) seems to look a little wider than in the game, which is actually much more like her true visualized appearance than the game's character-creation would allow.

The legs looked tough to do considering the pose. I'm not much of an artist when it comes to 2d drawings, but it's beyond me to visualize poses where various joints in a single appendage are twisted in different angles. Looks very cool. Wasn't looking for any particular fancy background stuff, anyway. I like the gun placement, too. One near each hand. She tends to feel most comfortable when she can pretty much arm herself with them at any moments notice.

Which is actually funny, as that was the compliment I got on my character (in game). What I think is that qoxolg captured a lot of the true intended look of the character. In PSU, I spent the most amount of time modeling the face and it took over an hour or two to do first time. Oddly enough, I can hardly draw 2D at all, but 3D model-work seems to be something I can actually do.

The only issue with the face modeling controls of PSU is that you couldn't control the nose part too much. It isn't independant enough. So while the in-game nose came out ok, it had to be narrower than I wanted due to the limitations. So a good drawn art-style (like seen here) definitely brings out Tynselle in more of the way she's supposed to look. In short, he captured the look, while improving the nose.

Just to show the point of reference and how quite talented qoxolg is. She's dark-skinned with pink hair. And with that, you'll probably see the playful, somewhat mischievous attitude literally pop out of the screen. Even with this pose which otherwise shows an intelligent and serious side about her.

I'd go with hard to draw. Casts can be very challenging to draw. The human looks like she would be fun to draw but every time I have a request to draw a cast I cringe. Maybe that means I should do more of them but at the moment they usually end up on the back burner.

The pattern on the bottom of her shirt I've always pictured as a fringe, or tassels. But it's your pic and you can do whatever you want to stylize it. That said the fore-shortening of her legs looks way off and she has no lap as you may expect in a sitting pose. You maybe planing to fix this in coloring but as is, it looks very odd from the waist down. I'll see if I can show you what I mean just give me a little bit to draw and upload a pic.

I can see the difference there. A little angle difference and the right leg appears straighter to support the angle the left leg comes over. Nice to see that progression, even though before I wouldn't know much better.

Unfortunately, yeah. The emulator I'm using takes really small pictures for some reason. Even if I could fix that, I don't think I'll be able to find that enemy character model anywhere else in the game. At most, I'll be able to resize the picture and focus more on him.

Pretty awesome as usual. The shading looks pretty natural to me. Another aspect of art which I still haven't wrapped my head around. What's needed where, and that stuff. I see it, and it looks nice, but I usually only go as far as a light source, and don't quite think of all the self-shaded aspects.

Pretty nifty stuff. I went back and read the tutorials you posted before you posted the finals. I can see the steps right in there. The bright-highlighting step along with the more dramatic shadow step. And the added red aspect to add flush for that more human look. (Actually a step those of us who stage-acted often had to do once we're given base makeup. Or those who also did face make-up for Halloween.)

The color attention given to the lips is interesting. It's obviously still a line drawing with the color layers, but it's almost like a real set of lips are in the lines. The light here is intense, so it brightens up her skin and outfit color a little, so I see what you went for. The eyes kick butt, and the pink-dye of her eyebrows really stands out, in these pics.

Tynselle was a great experiement in doing a *different* kind of character. One that basically blows away as many stereotypes as you can throw at her. Not to mention, I wanted to have a character that wore pink, but wore it with a strong sense of physical macho about her character. (That is, kill the tomboys don't wear pink rumor.) It, however, does nothing to change her, "play with the big boys" tomboy behavior. As far as her character, she just chose it, because she wanted something spunky and punkish to identify her with in her famous role in the circus. In a way, her boyish nature kind of naturally acts, in fashion, as if to prove that pink could be a masculine color.

That is, if Crouch (a male character in the up-n-coming PSP2) doesn't do it first (He might win as the most masculine-looking anime character in pink, ever. Not to mention the pink coat design that is designed in such a way, you can tell it was meant to be worn by those of the masculine persuasion.)

BTW: I'll definitely track this topic. I'm interested in seeing the other works, and perhaps try to work off the tutorials you posted. Of course, I think my first next *big* submission would be a musical one. That's my forte as I can do soundtrack design.

Also....nice background shading. It gives the room she's in solid definition.

And if you are planning on doing Levia, I sorta have a request. She's supposed to be a fish with a human frame, not a robot. So, if you're going to use her, I'd rather you use this model of her in the next spoiler tag instead of the PSU model.
And take as much artistic licensing as you need. Just keep in mind she's supposed to have sad eyes (my sig more or less has a good example of this), her colors are white and blue, and her design is long and skinny. If you're going to emphasize the fish look to her with fins or other accessories, treat them as pieces of clothing rather than body parts (a heavy use of this would be this (http://static.minitokyo.net/view/02/46/362302.jpg)). Let me know if you need more reference material.

Well, that's the thing. The PSU Levia and the CO Levia are (obviously) based on the same character. So they're supposed to be the same person. CO has much more freedom creating a character though, so that's a better representation of Levia. But, at the same time, PSU has better expression building, so her face is more correct in PSU than in CO.

So, what kind of pictures do you want? Getting her body proportions, personality, or just overall look? For more CO pictures, I'd have to wait until I get home to take better ones (which should take about five hours. Long classes are long). But I may be able to get some decent PSU reference material if I tried. But again, it depends on what you need from the pictures.

Once again, take artistic license into account. Her, um, "aquatic accessories" are just for flair; her original design doesn't account for those. Just the same, I don't mind if you add or subtract any, as long as it doesn't conflict with her core design.

That's Champions Online. It prides itself in character customization, and really, it's great at that. The powers are really unbalanced though, so making concept characters can be a pain...

The closest thing I could think of for the face is Guy's cocky smile. It's a bit too nice, though. The eyebrows should be more at an incline... The sprite has them at 45 degrees, though I don't know if that'll end up looking right. The smile should be... Should I say, longer? Deeper? More ear-to-ear?

well yeah.. I am very glad that I am still good at drawing stuff without outlines. I was afraid I would've lost it after drawing alot of stuff with outlines and hard cell-shades.

In most cases I still prefer drawing without outlines (the breath of Fire guy would've looked tons better without the outlines), it's just that it takes tons of time (if it's more then just a portrait) and it's very easy to mess up the picture, which is why I sticked with outlines for the requests, just so I won't mess up the requests, though I will of course do portraits or linesless stuff if people realy want it. :wacko:

I've got some bad news for some: I am gonna stop with accepting requests for now and the whole reference/pose thing..

I've been thinking about it lately and after reading the one topic about the tracing/redrawing thing, I realised I am doing the excat same thing right now.

To me redrawing and tracing are pretty much the same. With the latest requests I am doing, I am using reference pictures for the pose. I simply redraw the body shapes of the original pose and adjust it to make it look like the character I am drawing. To be honest it makes drawing rediculously easy and I am hardly learning anything by just "copying" the pose.

Of course my art looks better because of that and people are happy with their requests. It's just that it leaves a bad taste for me. I'd rather draw crappy art, of which I can say: Yeah, I created that all by myself. I love creating stuff, making something new out of nothingness.. thats what excites me about art: Uniqueness and endless posibilties.

After doing these 6 practice things, I can assure you: I haven't improved at all. I am gonna search for other ways to get better at drawing.

So yeah, that means I won't accept any new requests, unless people don't care if I don't use reference (I've been accepting requests since 2 years ago anyway, no one ever really noticed :wacko:).

HOWEVER, I WILL FINISH THE CURRENT REQUEST LIST WITH REFERENCE, just like I promised.

I totally understand what you mean.

Back when I was young, all I could do was accurately copying stuff. It looked good, but I didn't really feel like it was mine.
Now, I'm much more satisfied when I draw something by myself, even if it doesn't look that great. It happens I use reference for some things I draw for the first time (to see how you do a bent arm in perspective without it looking too odd, for example), but I don't copy said reference in any case. The best way to do it is going with the "hit and miss" tactic. Keep doing it and erase the portions that look odd to redo them again and again until it works - especially easy to do when you're provided with digital tools.

If you find the idea of reference a bit disturbing then I would suggest you pick up this book, "Dynamic Anatomy" by Burne Hogarth. The details on the laws of proper human anatomy and how they are drawn and most importantly measured are quite extensive. Although, personally I don't find anything particularly negative about reference (collections of clip art can drastically reduce render times) I can totally see where your coming from.

Rust, I started on your request. I've made two faces. The first one is what I drew orginally. Later, when I read your request more carefully, I saw you asking for a kindoff asian (I asume Japanese) appearance. So I made a second version of the face. It's kindoff hard to make it look assian though.

I like the second one better, if only for the nose that I don't like on the first one.
I'd also see the higher lip in the second one a little thiner (nitpicking I know), but I'm not too sure on this, so make a copy to try it out and show me the result so I can make up my mind, maybe?

As for the eyes, they should be ok in that second pic if you want to move on and do the rest.
But I'd like to see you trying it out a bit more, if you don't mind.

I'm no expert on this matter, but I think you can make them look a bit more asian (not necessarily wapanese; chinese, vietnamese or korean works too) with lazy and easy tricks, like lowering the top eyelid a bit more so it partially covers the pupil and increases the 'space' between the eye and the eyebrow, as well as making the lines for the eyelids less apparent.

Though I imagine you probably did it already when you made that second pic, I googled 'asian eyes' to see if I could find some useful pics, and I found this (http://forum.japantoday.com/viewtopic.php?p=798078#p798078) rather interesting. Only look at both real eyes pics and their comment, the rest of the post (as well as the rest of the thread, actually) is stupid bullshit.
This picture (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/hoh_gallery/91979.jpg) could also be useful as artwork reference material, though it might be a bit too extreme as far as the eye size goes.

She appears to me as more childish in that last pic than in the second pic, though, but maybe it's just the sketch giving me that impression.

No, you're right that she looks a bit more childish. I think it's because there is to much hair on top of the head, making the perspective a lil awkward. I can also make the face a bit less wide.

If you like the last one, I could make a portrait. I can also make it a full body shot, since the refernce picture was a full body shot aswell. Though with a full shot I'll have to sacrifice details in the face (in other words: I am lazy)

you already thought about how you wanna have it colored? You can pick an excisting coloring style of mine, or make me try something different.

Outlines? No outlines? Outlines are a safe choice, I hardly mess up lined drawings. Wig no outlines there is a 50/50 chance I mess up :wacko: though the result will look better if I succeed.

Well, overall, I prefer the second one.
The eyes are better in that last pic, but I'd prefer her to look a bit more mature like in the second pic.
So, it's your choice whether you want to change the eyes on the second one to look more like in the third, or if you're going to reshape her face on the third one.

As for the style and all that jazz, I liked what you've done with Tynselle and Mimocaseal, so I'm up for outlines and the same coloring style as in those.
I'd rather have a full body picture, since I already have a couple portraits of her. If by sacrificing details in the face, you mean it's gonna be like in your previous full body comission, I'm fine with it.

For those "colored shadings" you're adding in your new coloring style, I think pink, red or purple would fit her best. Nothing too shadow-heavy at least - she's not of the dark creepy type.

The adjustment on the hair indeed makes it better, but to be honest, I can't notice any difference on the jaw between this pic and the previous one, even when putting them one next to the other for comparing. D:

Honestly, I don't know which one to chose - both have their pros and cons.

I prefer her overall facial features, minus the eyes, on the second pic. She looks more mature, like she's supposed to be.
The third pic, on the other hand, is better drawn, the eyes are closer to what I was looking for and I like the pose better, but her round baby face bugs me a little, and it looks like a hell of a fix if you would significantly alter its shape.

I've bought a tablet when I was 19/20 years old. I think I've been drawing more seriously since uhh... well since the first picture on my DA :wacko: Haven't stopped since then.

The one thing I have over others with request is that I will do anything, and I don't mind adjusting my own style or trying new stuff for requests.

I never got rid of the name. Since I used the domain to store everything, so all my links still point to it. I also use it as the artistname when I make music with that same friend.

Finally looking back at this thread and seeing my picture, I've gotta say... I'm sad to see that your computer froze after all that. That looked like it was coming out pretty good. The face was coming out nice, the designs on her looked pretty spot on, and I even liked the pose you picked out for her (reminds me of a mermaid laying on the beach). I would easily have taken the picture like that, had the computer not decided to expire.
Since you're gonna remake anyway though (eventuallic), I may as well point out some qualms, I suppose. I only really have two, and really, they're more like requests. One is, she looks fairly chunky. There's no way you can make her, shall I say... more hydrodynamic? Smooth and fishlike. I like to think that she can just jump up and slip through the water with ease.
And, two, Longer hair please. The longer, the better. Kinda contrasting the first request, since hair is hardly something you want when maximizing swim speed, but... Hell, I'm just such a huge fan of long hair.

I always keep the text of the request on my other screen (along with some reference screenshots) that way I won't forget what people asked for.

Though with this one I did pick the style myself.. which I think looks quite nice and efficient enough to a make a tutorial out of it. ( I actually did it pretty fast, which is good :wacko:)

It's like the water reflection with the shine on it, when you're looking into a pool or river or something.

Yeah, sorry. I haven't been feeling my best due to school, and I don't like to jump on these forums when that happens. You know, people get angry when that happens.
That picture came out nice. I could nit-pick on things, but since it's done anyway there's no point. The expression came out pretty nicely, and I love what you did with the water colored skin. The fins are pretty tastefully done too. I'm not sure I pointed this out yet or not, but I also like the pose you picked out. Very reminiscent of the mermaid lying on the beach.

The fact that you guys haven't seen much art of me latly, doesn't mean I don't draw much, I actually draw a fuckton, though they are all quick drawings I make to practice drawing without useing reference for a pose.. To be honest I am glad I tried drawing without reference again. It's alot less straining, and much quicker and more fun to do.

Quick point though, if you're going to experiment with colors that's up to you, I only ask that the final product is good, whether that takes you one try or several is up to you.

Ethan wasn't a completly bad character. He's a lot better then your avarage anime/JRPG "hero". I kindoff like the funky design.
