You can live if you have some stacked up Giresta's instant regen, but that wasn't with a 50% one.

Yeah but in all seriousness, I made some pretty hair-brained mistakes in this run. I was way too used to 12 discs runs for a balance of MP and rares.

I think the best time a group I ran with ever got on a 24 disc run was 15 minutes. (I only did a few random runs during the event and this was a random groups I joined although I'm sure everyone else in the group knew each other).

We had two people go through B two people start C. The two people in C would be a gunmaster and a fighmaster. The gunmaster would stay long enough to get the fighmaster to the Bladed Legacy part of the mission while the gunmaster backtracked to A.

Yeah except the damage isn't near instant meaning there has to be some connection lag either due to youtube or location lag.

This has been around for a long time. You can do the slicer trick from PA -> 2nd part of PA also. Meaning you'll hit 3x for the 2nd part damage. Also, much less useful, if you hit enemies with the 2nd part of PA too far away, it will do normal attack damage. The cycle repeats.

I don't know if it's location lag or not, but if you can't duplicate this on PC, it may be 360 lag. I remember doing this when slicers first came out, and I lived in San Diego at that time.

I got that spawn once waaaaay back when Stolen weapon was released (level 80 cap IIRC). That was the last time I ever saw the rare spawn there since half of the people who were in that party refused to ever do Stolen Weapon again and you need a full party of six just to get in.

Well I thought they always spawned that way in illusionary shaft and the last story mission in ep2. I had seen the stolen weapon spawns before as well. Used to spam stolen weapon with friends to try and get the rare mission and saw em pretty often.

Damn Mikura. I never thought of that! Actually it would be a good idea to have them as weapons! I'm ST would have a fantastic way to get them. First you have to complete the mission where you try to settle a dispute between two rival Rogue factions while completing the storyline to "Duke Nukem Forever" and releasing said game in a timely manner without the video game industry laughing in your face. Meanwhile the whole Guardian's unit is having "Emo time" because nobody likes them mostly because the president dropped a huge fudging chunk of colony on top of a planet. So now you have to go about and collect 10 puppies which are found by killing a super rare enemy that spawns only when the harvest moon shines brightly and you have to be in a witch orgy...while wearing a funny hat.

I wasn't controlling anything, the damage change is all random. I just recorded a whole run and showed the highlights of the run where the bug occurred. The damage enclosed in a black box showed the damage values that were not normal.

I remember back in the day where I would run Illuminus Ambition 1 and abuse the mission since it had a guaranteed group of three Grinna Bete S EVERY RUN and not too many people knew about it. I've been doing this one rather consistently since picking up Slicers on my AF. I never really thought of it as a glitch, I though it was just a bonus for nailing a hit right on the apex of the slicer's path, before it begins to veer drastically left or right.

The game doesn't distinguish between button presses is what is happening. Basically when you start the photon art, the damage scale is set. If you move onto the second part of the photon art before the first part connects with the enemy, the damage of the first part is adjusted to match the second part because that is what the damage is currently set to.

So basically you just have to be at the correct distance where the first part of the photon art doesn't hit until after you've pressed the button for the second part. Then you'll get the second part's damage.

You can call it a glitch, but it's more like "lazy coding". The photon art should be locked in at a specific damage value once it has been set off, but instead the value changes with the additional presses for the art. The reason why you don't see it on other arts is because bullets and techs don't have multiple steps with variable damage rates.

For example if cards had a two part attack where the first part hit for 100% and the second part hit for 200%, you could get both the first and second part to hit for 200% by initiating the second part before the first part hit the target creature. This could be accomplished by using the Stand/Strafe method of double shooting cards. With the slicer, just stand back a bit and you have your "glitch".

They could fix this in a few ways. One way is to decrease the range of the slicer so that the first part will dissipate before the second part can be input as a just attack (the just attack is what causes the big damage difference). Another way is to slow down the photon art so that the second part won't start until after the first part has already hit.

TD cheating? I think Killer Shot is more of a cheat than TD!!!

Anyway, Maggas can be pretty air-headed if you TD around him. It took about eight runs total to get this 6 minute run (including yesterday's three runs to get my first 7 minute run).

As for Plains Overlord, I don't think 3:XX is possible. I barely managed to get 4:5X with a few mistakes. And yeah, you should definitely try again as GM. TBH I am impressed that Fortegunner can run that in 6.

Finally on PC so I can take screenshots (and maybe videos) now. Nothing really cool to show right now though. I noticed this glitch in the mission counter listings at Foran Waterwall when I went to Duel to level some PAs. Seems to only happen on my characters that had rare mission available. I could select the mission fine so it's no big deal. Probably old too but whatever.

That's not bad, I guess you found a way to efficiently use SUV. Most spawns in this mission are one or two at a time, making SUV relatively useless.
Not like I was using a cast, anyway.

Go newman Masterforce then. You'll definitely have a harder time than being a newman fighter.

But Newman Fighters are much stronger than most people think. But that is because PAs and % are all you basically need. Melee is already the strongest there is, so playing something else than Beast or Cast is no problem at all. Even Newman PT is no problem if you level PT up a little and have some good weps.

Now with Forces it is a different thing, because Forces are already crazy weak as a Newman. If you really want a challenge, go something else than a Newman Force!

He was the same level as me at the time. (A whooping lvl 5) He hit for 40, and I hit for 45 on average. My weapons were better though. Oh well, I'm gonna try and hit 20 by the end of the day. :wacko:

I mained a newman fighter for awhile. It isn't difficult and you'll still do lolnumbers later. Just not beast numbers :3

Did some Axe Test Results today;

The First combinations atp is about 3555, where as the 2nd is 4140(Butis Combo with Rabol Buti adds 280ATP whereas Nico only adds 50). And as you can see the Dmg difference is staggering and thats with Buti at half power. If I had something like 8/X or 10/X add another 200 or so ATP with that. I didnt have a Zagza in reserve so couldnt compare Zagza 42% vs Buti ;/

It looks like har/quick but that could be because of Attack Range+ also boosts simple/ra tech range outward as well? I think that made sense...lol

A true elitist such as Ceresa wouldn't be seen dead with Har/Quick equipped, it's obviously Har/Smart being affected by Range+ :P
