View Full Version : Question: Selling items for more than a stack?

I'm a bit confused.

I believe the meseta limit is about 99 mill, yet I hear some people selling items for like 100 million or even 250 million.

I believe you do this through trading, but how does one do this? Do you like give the seller stack after stack of 99mil? Doesn't that put you on a risk of getting scammed?

I'd like to try this in the future when I'm finally leveled enough to hunt for items worth more than a stack - I don't want to sell an item for 99 mill when I know it's worth more than twice than that (plus I got 2 characters to feed XD).

Any thoughts?

Pretty soon we will recieve an item called Goldbar that you can purchase for 10 mil at the casino and sell back to the casino for 10mil. They can be stacked to 99 so you will be able to hold over a billion meseta at one time. It solves the issue for trades dealing with more than 99mil. So instead of trading 250mil for a Red / Knight, you would trade 25 Goldbars.

Interesting....

Any word on when we'll get this update?

Kinda freak though that in the future, we'll see people selling stuff for a stack of Gold Bars >.<

Yes and yes. In the trades I've done between 100 and 200 mil the buyer gave the seller however much money on top of the stack first (so if it's a 150 mil deal, they give 50 mil first) and then the item is traded with the stack. Yes it's a risk, that's the bad part but if you get scammed report it to help.sega.com and see what they can do.

Interesting....

So I could take this risk, and if I get scammed, I just report to help.sega.com
Does sega do something about it though? Like refund my meseta and punish the scammer?

The scammer will get banned. Just make sure everything is typed out in the in-game chat...they will go through it and see what happened. Have friends present for the exchange. You would also head to the official forums and search their username in the trade forum. If they have sold expensive things before...more than likely you will not get scammed.

I'm not sure about refunds though. I don't believe they return anything to you. I could be wrong.

Generally speaking, scammers are generally high ID numbers because they don't realize what will happen when they succeed.

I can only speak from the one time I got scammed. The deal was for 160 mil. I gave him 60 mil and then he blacklisted me and my friend who was also in his room. I told Ruby about the situation beforehand (through PMs on the official forums) and he said he'd cover for me if anything happened. A day later (after they confirmed everything) the guy was banned and I met up with Ruby in-game who gave me my 60 mil back. Now this was a little over a year ago and there were a lot fewer 100 mil+ trades being done then so I can't say for sure if they still reimburse you or not.

To be honest, I don't think it's worth the trouble of going through trades like this. I rather just wait for the gold bars to come out first instead of risk getting scammed now. Besides, who the hell needs over a stack of meseta for? What do people do with that kind of money?

Not a lot. I have way over a stack now (probably around 165-170 mil altogether), and I have nothing to spend it on

Exactly my point. Plus, nothing is worth more than a stack of meseta to me. Red/Knight maybe, but only because it's stupidly rare and requires a rare mission to obtain. Everything else, you can at least hunt for yourself and most likely get given enough time.

Wow you should make an item like a 10/10 Pwand, 50% Bil Axe, 42%+ Dark Armas, and sell it to me. Ill give you a stack for it lol.

Making 99mil is WAY easier than finding/making MANY of the items in PSU. If you do not believe that then you really don't know the game THAT well. Or have a really hard time making money for some reason.

Currently, I do not use swords for practical use. I am waiting for Gravity Break is being updated in the AOTI Supplemental Update. It should put forth more DPS on a single target enemy than Spiral Dance or Dus Majarra. If it doesn't, I'll cry.
