Porn is such a controversial subject. Many people label it as sleazy, immoral, and distasteful; yet the porn industry is so large and successful. What are your thoughts on it?

Eh, I see no problem with it. Everyone engages in sex at least once in their lives, so why is it such a big deal to see other people doing it?

I don't have a problem with porn. As long as everyone consents and is of age that's involved, there's no harm in it. Sure, people can be addicted to it, but I think that's the same as saying a violent video games can be bad for you. It just depends on the individual that's poisoned by it, and the porn itself shouldn't be blamed for it. As for it being degrading to women, well, I'm no more offended than I am any other fictional items that aren't supposed to a true depiction of reality; again, I don't think porn itself should be blamed for anyone perceiving that differently.

It's addictive, but what makes it highly problematic is the fact that you can type "free porn" into google and there you have it. Easily accessible.

Another problem is it builds up sex drive. You masturbate twice a day, your body gets used to ejaculating twice a day, and when you get married, you probably aren't having sex twice a day. You then either need to adapt (which will be difficult after the habit has been in motion for years), or, more likely, you'll need sexual satisfaction from places other than your wife/husband (more likely wife). This can range anywhere from masturbating behind her back to a full fledged affair. Of course, pornography doesn't necessarily lead to it, but it is often right behind said events. Men don't just wake up one morning and decide they want a mistress. It builds.

Another thing to consider. You develop an attraction to blondes to the point where you can only get an erection by looking at blondes. You marry a brunette. What now?

Sex is more than physical satisfaction. There's the whole human element to it, which pornography just so happens to ignore. It branches too far for me to explain it all, but I'll just say that there's more to sex than "LEMME JAM MY GUY THING IN YOUR GIRL THING".

Porn exists to sate that urge to do unspeakable things. I'm not morally opposed to it existing (within means of consent, legality, and such), but I would be morally opposed to myself or those to which I consider myself close participating in it. I have about the same attitude toward the military.

I don't really have a problem with porn too much. However, I do not look at that kind of stuff. Let's just say one time I was looking up a Angelina Jolie picture to send to a friend like 8 years ago, I clicked on something that took me to this site, which I forgot the name. Comes up with pictures of her, but on the side of the page.......you can see nasty things....as furry called it I think... "Guy Thangs". From this day on, my google searches are filtered and I watch everything I look up so I won't make that mistake again.

If it weren't for porn, then VHS would probably have died out to the vastly superior (and more expensive) BetaMax (spelling..?).

Porn's a great source of income for some individuals. The insensitivity of Porn seems really rough though - it's a shock to some individuals to know that some activities are just not possible in real life.

Which leads to another point - things that you see in the paper/TV/monitor/media isn't always true. Things that have been seen, cannot be unseen.
