As for this being Sega Marketing's doing, I think the likely culprit is easy to guess:

Thanks for the links. Things that piqued my interest from the localization so far:

+ CAST is still all-cap, Mag is no longer
+ wonder how CAST trap use works (PSO v PSU)
+ Newmen the 'Lunar' race?
+ 'required' is now spelled 'recuired'
+ apparently, Daggers were a highly-advanced technology lost during the Great Blank, only to be unearthed later and refitted into crude weapons ;o

...plenty to think about while my copy travels the globe on its way here. Maybe.

Ooooooooo, subtitles. Frackin' AWESOME!!! After reading it in Japanese for months it just doesn't seem right in English. It would be nice if they had the option to switch back and forth on the same card. A friend of mine has the US PSP game and the dub sounds horrible, I am glad that they are not changing the voices on this release...well that is according to these pix.

There's only one version of the game, the DSi downloadable PSŲ is like a demo that you have to pay lol...

Guilty!

But new screenshots are always good, right? :)

These screens are also from a build of the game that is still being polished as far as localization, so you may notice some spelling corrections and other minor changes in the final version of the game.

So Ruby, you know something about localization for the European version? which languages will it include? The last Phantasy Star I played in my language was CARD revolution...

Man the more I check out these screen shots the more I can't wait for it. When is it coming out? October or sometime during winter?

lol. the game came out last year in december 25 and there are some people that are still playing it despite having 3 level 100's. crazy. it's like they dont get bored of the game.

I imported, and I still play it. :) It's awesome in my personal opinion, and has that addicting factor that I last felt with the original Phantasy Star Online.

I'm so excited! I can't wait to jump into the game. My only quirk with it is that spot of Engrish "recuired". :-x Other than that, it looks great!

RubyEclipse and Sega USA wouldn't be undone by the euros so they posted some of their own. He probably could have informed us of these himself but whatever sooner is better! *nudge nudge*

These screen shots have once again peeked my interest in the game... so much so that I'm actually reading message boards again.

So everyone is still clueless as to a European release date then? I swear, it feels like I've been waiting for years for this!

80% of the anime cutscenes are the intro and the beginning of the game, but all the story dialogues have drawn characters in the same style.
