Questions about the 360 demo.

First, is the demo on a seperate server with only demo players on it? I'm just curious about this because while playing for several days the highest level I've seen is in the 20s.

Second, say I play the demo and fall in love with the game and go buy it. Can I use my demo character with the full game?

Yes, there are 2 seperate servers.
Our level cap is currently 160.

No, you can't use that character. However, it is much faster to level up in the real game, and we often have events that gives extra exp, so if you play a couple of hours a day you will be 100 pretty quick.


If you like the demo, you are gonna love the real game.

Thank you. I used to love PSO and I'm sure I'd enjoy this. But I don't want to pay an extra $10 per month to play online. Is it worth it at all to buy the game for offline play?

The offline play consists of just story mode and it's not very long. I would seriously recommend you try to rent the game from Blockbuster or an online rental service like Netflix before spending your money.

Sorry, i'd have to say no. Sure for the Story Mode, but nothing past that.

Why? The current network mode eclipses PSU v1 and its demo. Seriously seriously seriously. Im almost surprised people can enjoy the PSU demo with all its porn advertising and spammy voice chat 10 year olds.

No, you cant use your demo character, but trust me if you restart on the real servers with the expansion, you'll never miss it again. The amount of content it adds is substantial.

Alright, thanks. And apparently on this game you can't use online characters in offline play or create your character for the offline story? I know in PSO you used the same characters for both modes.

Also, can you choose the class of your offline pre-made character?

I would recommend just buying it and taking a look. PSU is really cheap these days and I think, if I can remember, you can play online free for a month.

Ya, I think I can get it used for around $17. I'm probably just going to buy it, even if I don't go online. One month free would be wonderful though.

I meant to type Gamefly in my earlier post, not Netflix. >_< And I also forgot about Extra Mode but that's a pretty gimped mode and not worth playing. PSU is really meant to be played online.

And Burninator, you're the dude I added to my friends list, right? FYI, I'm not currently subscribed to PSU. I may resubscribe in the future but I'm not sure.
