Upcoming changes to Legacy of the Light (GC mission)

With the upcoming August 27 maintenance (which will end Absolute Zero), some changes will be made to the GUARDIANS Cash mission "Legacy of the Light." You could kind of think of it as a Casino Voloyal-style rotation where certain items will no longer drop, but instead will be replaced with others temporarily.

So now they can't even be assed to make a new mission to charge for.

What's next, PSP weapons getting + versions? Oh right, that already happened.

They don't really specify, but I get the feeling that they'll be changing some of the box drops instead of enemy drops since the boxed items are the main selling point of the mission.

If that is the case, then I agree with the other users' sentiments about this being a lazy update.

Oh, I agree. But I doubt this will be the full update; they just wanted to give folks a fair warning that they may not be able to get certain items from the mission for a while. (One of the last lines in their post equates to "get them while you still can.") I expect we'll see full details of August 27's update in a few weeks. Probably this along with a permanent (and slightly adjusted) version of Ice Crystal Exchange and maybe even the GBR listed in the longterm schedule. The 3rd anniversary event is coming up, but I don't know if they'd start that right after another event.

Well, I know that they already got money equal to many months of subscriptions fee, and they don't even plan to make a new area? wow, I think they really want to kick people out for FFXIV
