The rarest thing I ever found in a PSO game ever was a Flame Visit on the DC and a limiter on psobb. literally several thousand hours worth of gameplay too thank god for cheating.

I've always found its usefulness to be questionable. Most people I've seen just use it when they are making Bernie jokes.

Meh. S'ok I remember back in the day on DC cheating was the thing to do. As a matter of fact i didn't even ever search for legit rares until the GC servers went down, but i sure had me some sweet Dupes/hacks haha!

Since I've had literally every uber rare on psobb i know what's valuable and what's not. i buy low from people who have so many dupe hacks they dont know what to do with at a low price then get a reasonable sale from low levels who think it's the greatest item in the world when its really basically useless or lame in the big scheme of things. much slower than the tactic i was doing before which took literally two week to go from nothing to everything at my fingertips. :/

depressing really but more fun im not totally nuts in trade rooms all day collecting higher hit % ubers because having it all wasnt good enough.

already got about 100 pds worth of stuff in a week's time first by selling soniti mag cells from that one quest, lol.

i've not had many great rares. got a few rares but nothing special. though i did once get a DoB with 60 hit which sold for a fair bit

I have gotten no spectacular rares at all, the best thing is a Oritiagito. If you look at my sig, obviously I've played this game a lot, but still, nothing good.

Now that I think about it, if you hacked everything in the game, it's not really a rare, is it? It just makes you look dumb. People who actually hunted their rares have something to say for it.

Never cheated on DC Versions. Didn't see a reason too. I got things when I got em....GC I used the 1 PD Dupe stack items trick to make money or prevent me from needing to buy 10 of every mate/fluid

I think buying 10 trimates is easier then to dupe them. maybe it's just me.

I used to stack items to feed to mags, because it's not like I didn't have the money to buy every single item that I would ever need to feed a mag for the rest of its life. I didn't want to feed a mag 4 times and already have to go get more items. I'd also stack monomates because none of my characters can be them, and even then, why would I made a low level character just to buy one of my other characters 20 monomates so I could burn through them and need to do it again?

Raising mags is so tedious...

Believe me, try to raise a 200 def angel wings on pso ver.2 and you will see what's tedious or not.

I made a 100% star atomizer mag and then fed a heart of chao at lvl 200, the angel wings i stoped at lvl 1, that gives you a clue how tedious it was.

I cheated on the DC with a gameshark because I was a teen and immature. By the time I played PSOBB I was against cheating though, and only played legit games, and traded with legit players.

Not sure what I actually found myself, but I got some great rares through legit trades.

I must confess i once tried to make items on ver.2, but i didn't put much effort in it and even when typing the codebreaker code i didn't want it to work, i almost forced into typing something wrong so that the code would work.
In the end it didn't work and i never touched the codebreaker again, it's gathering dust like some of my dreamcast games.

Yes, it's one bad weapon and looks fairly ugly. It drags down Bernie's awesomeness factor.

Anyway, I can relate to the thread creator.

I played offline for 2 years, endless hours of grinding and hunts, many of them without success.

It took me nearly half a year to get a friggin God/Battle (yes, several thousand monkeys and several hundreds of FoS), I lvled up 43 times before I found one.
It took me 41 lvls and 4 months to get a Yas 9k (back on GCN).
I had actually tried to get a DC, but 9 Torrs later (the last 2 in the same fucking room), I still had nothing.

So, after playing it legitly for a while online, I really got fed up with tedious hunts.
I had been doing this shit long enough on the GCN (like 1200 hours).
So I started using cheats.

Actually when I did it, all of *Mod Edit* was doing it as well. It was pretty much the hackers goldrush of '07.
I actually was tame, I only got stuff for me and at first didn't trade hacks. I started trading them when you couldn't enter a trade room without seeing 50hit (or that one TJ with 127 hit, god how I wanted that weapon) on everything and/or people going to F1 to show off god/equip.

Back then hacking was pretty fun. It wasn't that easy to get good stuff, you could make enemies drop lame's for 3 hours and never get past 40hit.
It was always kinda exciting to see an ocean of red boxes and hope the next one has enough hit to be good (countless rares suck without hit, especially online with enemies having obscene evp).

My best hack-find was an FS I tekked to 60hit and turned into a Queen.
The sad thing is that Sabers, Morfos' and a few other enemies still took a few hits to freeze and that at 395 ATA.
Even sadder was that a freaking humar had more ATA. 4 proofs of sword saint + 50hit Jizo got him like 420 or so.
