For a few days now, I've been having a problem with my messages not alerting me.
I have it set to alert for new messages and whatever else I can be.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Try cleaning out old cookies. New posts & messages are affected by your site cookie. Browsers might have incorrect info reading expired/problem cookies.

So you mean if I have lots of private messages, this could effect it?
I have...almost 1000 PM's in my box. :/
Also, this may be a stupid question, but how do you clean out cookies?
You'll need to go into more detail about the problems you are experiencing. Also, which style are you using?

Alright, let me try.
First, I figured out how to do the cookies thing, I haven't gotten many messages since, so I don't know if that fixed it.
Alright, the problem; I'm using Firefox(newest one), with Blue Steel style(default one).
Sometimes when I log on, and I have multiple messages, either PM's, or visitor messages, the message telling me when I have a private message doesn't show up.
The messages shows up if there's only 1 private message, but not if there's more than one of any type.
So, say I have 2 private messages, the little pop up menu that is supposed to show up, doesn't show up. (I have the option to alert me when I have private messages clicked)
If I have 1 PM, the alert comes up. If I have 1 PM and 1 visitor message, the alert wont show up.
I've checked on the User CP many times to see if somehow the alert got turned off, and it hasn't.
Hope this helps.
It could be an issue with your browser blocking pop-ups. There could also be a bug in the forum code. I looked at the database and nothing seems wrong with your account settings.

The messages pop up on the official forums. Also, I use the Firefox, I don't think there is much of a pop up blocker.
It might have just been a hiccup, I haven't had the problem since I posted pretty much.
Also, Dhylec suggested me cleaning my cookies, I did so, and this might have been the solution.
Though I don't know anything about how that works.
Seems fine so far today and yesterday.
