AotI Story Mode character to Network Mode?

I'm playing the PS2 version for starters. I have a level 92 offline character that was carried from PSU extra mode. I just started Network Mode, and I'm curious if it's impossible to use your Story Mode character on Network Mode.

I used to play PSO, and it's because of the fact you could on there that I'm hoping it's the same on here, albeit not as easy. If you couldn't do that on PSO, I feel delusional then.

Extra/Offline mode characters can't be used in the Network/Online mode. Its much too easy to level up offline.

As Namine mentioned, you can't import your offline character. You'll have to start over at level 1.

Let's not forget to mention it's a completely different game online.
Not just leveling speeds, but classes, weapon ranks and certain stats, etc...

not to mention the offline level cap is 200 and job cap is 30.

that and quite a few unreleased weapons are on offline mode that couldnt be transferred atm, and certain things drop too easily like love inferno dropping from curtz in the story mission lol.
