Played it as a child, so replaying it on the PS2, I had NO IDEA How cheesy the game was, holy cow fuck.

I obviously enjoyed it more in my less mature days, but playing through it again was still nostalgic and awesome, despite how GOD DAMN SLOW It ran in some parts on PS2. Horrible Port. Grandia is jawesome ya?

Yes.
Yes it is.
I remember playing the PS2 one, and how shitty it was lol..
Random Slowdown, Characters/Items turning white..
Shit, it didn't even come with the soundtrack like the Dreamcast one did. :/

Grandia II is jawsome yes (at least i experienced it on a Dreamcast =D )
But not too long after i beaten that.
My bro who owned both, sold those. :O

Original is great too, but i have never beaten it (but i were close).
Memory card went apeshit and erased everything. =/
Then i sold the game for some dumb reason. XD

Should probably get the first back sometime, hurhur.

I played through the Dreamcast one too, but I heard the PS2 version had extra movies and my Dreamcast is having a bit of trouble reading lazers at the moment. So yeah.

Love this game.
It was the last video game my dad bought me before he died.

I used to watch my mom play it before I went to bed everyday when I was younger.
I used to love watching my mom play games. Now, she only plays the Wii, and it looks ridiculous.

I bought a used copy of Grandia II on Dreamcast many years ago while on a school trip to Washington, D.C. When I got home, I popped open the case and found that the shop I bought it from (Can't remember if it was Gamestop, Software Etc. EB games, whatever) had tried scratching off a sticker somebody had put on the inside of the CD case. The problem with this is that they did a terrible job and had gotten adhesive all over the bottom of the disc, which wasn't in great condition in the first place. I could never get it past the title screen. One of these days I'll clean it, but I never have both a CD cleaner and the game in the same space and as such, never think of it. (Actually, I don't think I've ever even owned a CD cleaner, so that would be the biggest reason fixing this game has never been high on my priorities.)

Melfice, Demon Horde Slash and Sky Dragon Slash, or whatever they were called, were the best parts of the game. Also Ryudo is the classic OMG THEY LET HIM SAY ALL THAT BADASS STUFF cool dude.
Story dragging on for hours and hours unnecessarily when it could've ended fifteen times over was not really very appreciated.

But I first played this game on the dreamer. Never finished it, and don't intend to.

I have no idea, I was mainly praising it. I see in no way how the game "could have ended" at any point though. The pieces of Valmar were never collected entirely, and there was always advancement, so I don't know how it could "drag on" lol.

It's not a prerequisite to enjoy it to post here, but I'm just stating that I still enjoy it.
