Creating a JP account

I currently live in Japan and I'm using a Japanese 60 GB PS3 to play the JP version of AOTI. I finished the game so I decided that I wanna sign up for online play and download Episode 3. However, when I went to the Japanese website to sign up for an account, it just gave me a bunch of crazy Kanji that I can't understand and won't let me sign up. Most likely it's because of the part where it asks for my name in Kanji when I don't even HAVE a name in Kanji...

I've looked all over for a tutorial on how to sign up for a Japanese account, but no go...

I've seen a few people on here that play on the Japanese servers, so I know that it's possible to sign up, but could anyone here tell me how? Is there a certain way to do it?

The screenshots are a bit outdated (the account creation page is a bit different now), but you shouldn't have trouble figuring it out yourself.

It'll let you register if you use katakana instead of kanji for your name. That's how I registered.

Tried that but it still didn't let me for some reason. But no matter, that guide helped and I'm logged on. Thanks a bunch for your help guys! 8-)
