If you cancel it is it true that it deletes your character information off the server?

not that im aware of...

ive cancelled twice, once for a loooooong time... and i still have my characters...

No, character data is not deleted as soon as you cancel your account. SEGA holds the right to delete character data if they need to make room. However, I haven't heard of anyone's characters being deleted, even after taking a year break.

Yea, I took about a 10 month break between (Oct.)07' and (Aug.)08', signed back up in Aug. 08' and I was fine.
Something like that, and everything was there.

I've seen people come back after over a year and still have everything intact. They do have the right to do so if they wish however.

ugh pretty sure you know by now but I thought I'd make it stronger

no your characters don't get deleted. my guardians ran out a bunch of times and I still have all my characters.
