Question about GC Lag

I live in the UK and am waiting for the GC version of PSO, so to tide me over I've been playing the PC trial. When I tried to play tonight however (Saturday Night) I got the WORST LAG EVER, even with broadband. The game was literally unplayable for periods of about 15 minutes at a time. I really really hope this is just on the unpaying trial server. Could anybody with a gamecube version tell me whether they feel the lag has ever become this bad in their games?

I use dialup and have never experienced more than 30 seconds (which is rare to get up that high, normally it's 15 seconds or lower).

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I'll just cope with it for now until I get the proper game then.

30 SECONDS? That's like speed to me! I'd be happy to get that kind of ping! For me, Loading the area takes about 30-60 seconds, and loading everybody takes about another minute. Broadband you shouldn't blink. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Uhm..it wont last. PSO DC started out like that, then things got considerbly ok, speed wise.
