Stacking rare missions?

So i was playing with a guy the other day who says he's stacked the rare map up to like 10, and then he just played them all one after another, i didn't know you could do that?! is this true or is he just full of shit?

You cannot do that, he was a liar.
The most anyone can get is 4, at one time.
One for each character.

I believe that guy was just bluffing. As Volcompat321 said, you can only have one in reserve on each character.

It is one per character, but don't be surprised if you find a group of four players who each have 1 rare mission per character and all decide to run them back to back on Friday.

We have all been expecting and waiting for Phantom Ruins.

Don't be surprised if a player says "I've ran this mission 5 - 10 times today" on Friday...as everyone is stockpiling rares on their characters for the Spread Needle and to help them on their way to level 170.

Whoooaaa! So you can hold on to a rare mission until you decide to use it? It will still be there after you sign out and back in or run other missions?
