What's in version 1.1 that makes it different from the first version? Are you able to transfer your characters from one to the next?
Ver 1.1 is identical to the US version. It was to try and fix the dupe bug, although all the smart-arses figured out other ways to dupe. Because of this, ver 1.0 is isolated where as ver 1.1 can connect to the US ships.
Characters can be converted over, but you loose everything (except all techniques your Forces currently know), and are given what you get when you start a new char (IE basic saber/armor/300 meseta).

When you transfer characters over from 1.0 to 1.1 it deletes all your item data but it gives you a free jack o' lantern. So she could just make characters on 1.0 and transfer them over to 1.1 to get as many jack o lanterns as she wants. I dont think ST totally thought that one through.

No, it's just the same as making a char for the baby mag, except Jacks are more valuable.

don't you get mag cells from jack o lanterns? and if so... o_O that's a bit better than a baby mag.
You don't get the Jack O Lanterns straight away. You have to go online in JP mode, then go to a bonus quest that appears only to ver 1.1 players, under the shop catagory. Doing the quest result in a NPC instantly giving you a Jack O Lantern.
Even though it's one per char, you can easily transfer the Lantern to another char, delete the char that got the Lantern, then make another char and get another Lantern. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
And yes, these Lanterns are exactly the same as the ones people got from the halloween quest.

Silly question...Can you actually do that quest in the US version IF you turn your game language to JP and go on the JP server to do the bonus quest mentioned ?
