My girlfriend (I feel special~) isn't scary at all - quite meek, actually. She's just a bit weird about a few things, and it took a long while of just being my normal self to crack that shell she was in - the one that dictated a disposition against relationships for pretty much all of her life (...part of which is an influence from her overprotective mom, part of it was social awkwardness from being an only child). I'm not really sure what triggered the change in how she thought, but she said it was just from being around me and getting to know me that made her decide the proper course of action as being liberal application of affection, and things going from there. Not that I'm complaining or anything, she gives nice hugs.

All you really have to do is find one that's alone and swoop in and grab her in your talons while she's not looking. That's how dating works, right?
