Am I missing something when it comes to Techs?

Just hit level 48 on my Force, haven't beaten single player yet, but have played a lot of hard online games and still haven't found any techs above level 5. Haven't had a drop at all of Shifta, Deband, Grants or Megid.

What gives?

I was kinda feeling the same on my FOnewm, but I ended up finding all those 4 techs in Dark Shrine, and I think a few in Arca Plant as well in Normal Mode. In fact I found several copies, up to about level 8. However I have not found any of them in Hard Mode yet, so what I would do is just run through Dark Shrine a few times and you should *hopefully* get some of those.

Once you have Megid and Shifta, life becomes better :-P

My strongest character is a level 52 force and I have the same problem. I don't have grants, megid, shifta, or deband on any of my 3 files. I have beaten the game though, and have been playing through on hard with still no luck. I have a fuckload of di and trigrinders though, and well over a million meseta. Since I never use photon drop I have about 85 of those too. Thats all I ever find are grinders and pd's.

I felt the same way as well with my FOnewm. But once i starting playing wifi with my friend we found alot of techs. I have all the techs now above lvl 10. So far i've noticed that the ruins drop alot of techs.

Wow, I thought I had it bad, but according to you guys I find a lot of Techs. I have played story mode for the most part, currently in the last quest on normal and have every tech except shifta and deband. Best find was probably Megid and Grants lvl 7 or 8...

ive bought techs from the shop up to level 7. jus check it everytime you finish a quest

Seriously guys, do Dark Shrine on normal mode. It got a TON of level 5-8 of those 4 techs... so if you're having trouble getting them, just try that.

i too am on this boat, lvl 49 with my highest tech prior to last night at lvl 6 and missing deband zalure and megid. i did however have my best run last night in hard ruins where i found lvl 12 anti and lvl 6 grants! several games afterwards were not fruitful. maybe we should consider trading for the disks.

hm, I've never found anything above level 8 myself, but I do find disks up to that in increasing abundance. Why not try Endless Tower on varying difficulty? That's usually where I find techs.

It may or may not matter to some of the posters in this thread that the pirated version of the game has poor drop rates--or so I've heard. I'm playing the legit version, and Grants and Megid drop like candy in the Arca Plant and Dark Shrine.

I had suspected that about the pirated version. Because seriously, I've never found a single tech. Bought 'em all.

i´m level 35...i´m currently runnig story mode with my fomar on the dark shrine...and already found all technics...almost everyone on level 7-8....most of all found them on paru andd then on the arca plant...on the dark shrine i only found level 5 technics...
mmm...looks like the drops on the US version are rarer than jap (playing the US ver)

When I ran through story mode first I found so many extra techs, between level 5-8+.

I think the reason you don't find as many techs online is because the loot is split between 2-4 people, so even if a tech drops, you have smaller odds to get them then just playing solo.

i think the game would lock up on pirated games instead of decrease drop rates. and i remember in pso characters had different classes or groups (cant remember what theyre called) that increased drop rates for specific items. i wonder if there is something similar in zero because although i do not find many disks, i have found many 6* guns and swords.

And here I thought it was just me. Since my first run through was a HUmar whom I didn't really give a flying rappy's @$$ if he had anything other than Anti and Resta, I saved a good number of my tech disks. The best I've found was a Megid lv. 5, highest I've found (level-wise) is a Zonde lv. 8. Trying to buy them, at least on my file, has been pretty futile, I never find anything available that's above level 2. (d'oh!) Good to know it's not just my main file being retarded.

Confirmed, drop rate definitely nerfed on pirated versions. There's a workaround though if you search for it.
