Stop feeling sorry for yourself. You were the one rejecting the fucking advice you wanted from us, and tried to make all of us feel like we did something wrong. Screw you. Seriously.

EDIT: Fuck. I can't edit the above out, as I'm sure some have already read it... But I'll add something instead:

I read your post in the other topic, and honestly, we're on the exact same boat, you and I. I sincerely apologize for being an ass. I feel for you.

well im kinda confused. but yeah lets just be cool for a minute. i do thank everyone for the advice. and i guess i was being ungrateful but i really didnt mean to. it was more of a first reaction i didnt mean to put any ideas down it was just what i was thinking inside of my own head. i didnt mean to make anyone feel wrong. im just sensitive . in hindsight i was just dumb to make a thread like that. i thought people would be more funny about it. for some reason i dont mind being called a whale or something but when some one says dont drink soda. thats kinda upsetting.. for some strange reason.

It was dissolved :disapprove:
I guess I'll have to found another one, and become chairman.

Anyone want in?

I've seen this before somewhere, at the opening of a movie, I just can't remember what movie, it must have been terrible, because I remember taking it out of my dvd player after 35 seconds. (That's usually how long I give a movie, before I decide if I will watch the rest or not.)

Dogs don't see in 2D.

You can't show Hooch a picture of a suspect and find him, Tom Hanks.

I'm a vet. I know these things.

It's from the Discworld series, though I wasn't aware that there were any movies based on it until I looked it up just now.

Also, 35 seconds isn't really a fair trial if you've already gone through the trouble of getting the DVD, especially since that doesn't even get you to the title card half the time.

Well I mean after the beggining credits have started.
I can usually tell what movies I will hate from the get go, but every now and then I am surprised.
And the movie was called The colour of magic, I just googled.
I don't doubt the premise may be ace, but I just can't stand those visual fx.

It was apparently a made-for-tv-movie, I can't speak for the film, having not seen it myself, but the book was amazing.

Also, I generally decide whether or not a film interests me BEFORE going out and getting he DVD. If I DO end up with a bad one I usually finish it, since bad movies are usually worth a laugh and then I can tell people just how bad it actually is.

The dvd wasn't mine, a friend brought an entire book full of DVD's.
I just so happened to put that in. ;o

Well they could budget half of their money on the opening minutes and the rest of the movie is so bad it hurts.

Gangs of the Dead (http://blackhorrormovies.com/gangsofthedead.htm). Direct to DVD horror movie.

The whole elephant/turtle supporting the world thing is actually part of several different mythologies, though I'm having trouble pinpointing which.

Wikipedia suggests it's present in Hindu, Chinese, and Native American mythology.

But yeah, the Color of Magic was a fun book. I haven't read any of the other Discworld novels, though.

Didn't expect this. I was expecting to answer, "Because you were in the park, and that dude from 'Kids in the Hall' (with his powerful index finger and thumb) made you that way."

("I'm.. crushing your head!")
("squish squish!")

(Though I doubt people remember that show well enough)

Seen a few clips of it. That head-squishy being one of them.

This is what I thought at first, which is why I thought nothing of bad-mouthing the film, I figured they were two totally exclusive things (discworld, and the elephant/turtle thing).

But she's more braindead than the zombies.

This guy's captions are always good. See Leprachaun in the hood ("kids love garbage"), or its sequel, back 2 the hood and commentary about why is the Leprachaun always going back to the hood?

Emily finds the Leprechaun’s gold and splits it with her friends, at which point…why bother going on? It’s the same plot each time. Let's just say that the little guy wants his damn money back.

This site is golden.

I quoted his hypothesis on the Shining, why black people get that axe every movie, for my A Plus report. When he has a more historical run down in one of the sections, like a full article about the black death in horror movies. Talked about the A-Z actors in a presentation, who dies and its surprising who still does with name recognition. Andre Braugher should be above this stuff now and he got it in The Mist, with "his people."

"April Fools" is one of the longer ones, think he says his girl on the couch with him thought he was going to pass out from rolling his eyes so many times in that one. As well as it turns into Darrin's Dance Groove for 15 minutes for no reason. Another is like that, with an actual good villain, some witchdoctor with a good presence among a terrible movie about bad singing and grunge bands.

Black Devil doll is perhaps the craziest and most glorious example.
"Chick with her broke fro"

Oh and don't forget to see the Snakes on the Plane one (http://blackhorrormovies.com/snakesonaplane.htm). Even just to skim it/the pictures w captions.
