Coming Back?

I haven't had an Xbox in about 5 months now, and I finally decided I should cancel my sub for PSU since I was paying for something I was not getting to enjoy. Does anyone know, if I should cancel and decide to come back later, if my characters will still be there? I realize everyone always says that nobody has ever had them erased, but my problem is that I have BILLIONS of meseta worth of items on my account, so if there is any risk I would be giving my account info to a trustworthy friend of mine so he can transfer my items at least and hold them for me when I am able to come back. Does anyone have a confident answer? Thanks in advance.

As of yet, Sega has never deleted anyones characters or items from quitting PSU. The only way your characters will be deleted is if you do it yourself.

Or if the servers go down before you decide to come back.

ive quit for a yr. then last time for 6 months. i still have my character from over a yr ago with all items. except the ones in my shop cuz they was all bought. im also on the ps2 server though
