Rangers have more access to gunblades than hunters, looking soley at variety. The Axeom ones are Human exclusive, I believe.

Yeah, the Emperor Axeon is among the best Gunslashes, so if you want that you should roll human. Overall, like Ronin_Cooper said, Ranger's have more access to them since they are considered a ranged weapon.

Although they won't have access to the Axeoms, android ranger might not be a bad choice either since they're a bit more resilient and have better options when it comes to armor, which'd be useful if you're gonna be charging in close.

I don't actually use gunslashes that much, though, so I can't really vouch for the worth of my advice on them.
