Since technically PSP2 is KINDA-SORTA online, I wanted to know how to actually play. I dont quite get the concept, from what I know is... you need a PS3? That being said, if I import the game, I would probably need a Japanese PS3 as well, huh?

I kinda can't afford a PS3 at the moment, and I was wondering if PS3 is required to play online... :(

And if I get a Japanese PS3, I can't even play games unless I import those too.

And I'm not mod-ing shit. I'm too stupid for that.

If you're actually buying PSP2 then its kinda-proper online and you just need a wireless access point. :P
If you plan to play the ISO once it works on CFW though, then yeah you'll only be able to use ad-hoc party on a PS3 to go kinda-sorta online, and nope it wouldn't have to be a Japanese PS3.

Ps3 only to play adhog party, not online mode, also, Ps3 is region free.

Any PSP with official firmware, the original game, and a japanese PSN account is all you need to access to the online servers.

I wouldn't worry about adhoc mode. If you are intending to legally purchase the game, you'll be able to play on the online servers totally free. :)
All you'll need to do is create a Japanese PSN account and there many guides to do that on this forum.

You do realize that the PS3's Blu-ray entertainment software is mostly region-free with some exceptions, right?

Can you visit your friends rooms like you could in PSU?

You can even put items in them. I dropped a bunch of cardboard boxes in Amerherst's room the other day. :p

Alright, I'd like to ask something too, because this is also confusing the hell out of me:

I have a PS3 (US, not Japanese) with the Ad-Hoc Party program from the PSN store installed on it.

If I bought a PSP handheld, modded it, and torrented the Japanese version of PSP2, what all could I do if I got online, and what would I get "cock-blocked" from? Granted, I can't read a lick of Japanese text, and would like to wait until an English version is available (IF it becomes available).

Also, I keep hearing about some new CFW coming out mid-December; what's that all about?
