This is why you have Italian coats with hare fur.

Also, Al Gore:

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU SEE THAT GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!

You see it in the rapidly melting polar ice caps.

That's one of the biggest reasons that people summarize global climate change as "global warming," but the increase in record lows is just as much of a sign of the shifting climate as the increase in record highs.

If anything, this article helps to prove that something is going on.

So, do you bother using a freezer, or just put everything outside and unplug it?

I just wish people wouldn't confuse normal fluctuations with overall trends or local effects with global--that's not everywhere global but as a whole global--issues. But I shan't spoil the zany FKL vibe with excessive seriousness.

Hence: I wish for a magical chocolate bar that never runs out! And I want to go ice skating in 70 F weather... outside, of course.
And, yes, Ketchup brings up an excellent point (man, we are gonna make soooo many popsicles--you wouldn't believe it!). Thawing would be kind of a pain, though--and possibly very wet.

A freezer, of course.
It's going to be like... -1C by the end of the week. Our weather enjoys trolling.

Except that the ice caps aren't shrinking. We've actually seen a global cooling trend over the last decade, and the ice caps have been growing. It's all a scam.

I liked when the Internet got involved last week or 2 ago. Stealin' scientist e-mails, then passing the news on, probably in e-mails, which only proved again that e-mail news may not be the best form of news.

Oh, LORD, Outrider, don't you see the .gov in there? That means it's run by government puppets with an agenda the size of Sweden. Most climatologists only pretend to believe in global warming--not to mention AGW--because it makes them the big bucks. Clearly.

Now, you might think the earth has stopped getting warmer (1998 was a hot one, thanks, in part at least, to El Nino--that scamp!), but if you consider not only surface temperature, but also the accumulation of heat within the oceans (http://www.skepticalscience.com/global-cooling.htm) you might think differently. And yet people don't live in the ocean, so who gives a flip?

In any case, I'm not sure we should sacrifice the virtues of oversimplification and confusion just so we can get it right (http://www.skepticalscience.com/An-overview-of-Antarctic-ice-trends.html). But you can be excused for not believing me; I'm no climatologist--wait, no, let me rephrase that: you should believe me, because I'm no insider climatologist in bed with the Authorities. Yeah.
