The first expansion mission in parum, there is a shattered wall with 3 boxes behind them with no paths leading to them or anything? How do I get those chests?

I have seen this in multiple areas, annoying because I see Red Boxes there every time almost lol.

Thank You in advance

Use binoculars and look at the little green circle that pops up when you put them on. You'll hear a double clicking noise. Then break the rubble.

Where do you get binoculars or are you speaking of zooming with your gun?

Binoculars can be obtained from the first story mission of Ep.2.

"Goggles" not binoculars. Quite possibly the most essential item in the game other than actual weapons.

You get them "ONLINE lol" by going to the 5th floor of the Guardians colony and talking to the first NPC at the round counter. Select "Ep 2 Missions" then "The Mask 1" - after a bunch of annoying dialogue you get the Goggles. You can abandon the mission if you want.

Fair warning: They take up an inventory spot and can not be sold, dropped, traded or stored.

Use the Goggles at various points in the game to reveal traps and hidden objects. For example, using the goggles on the rubble:

Using goggles, place crosshairs over sparkly green spot.

Now the green spot will be visible to everyone without goggles:

Most things need three hits to destroy. I find a single shotgun blast is easier:

Boom! Rubble removed!

Also works on trees and rocks. Not everything is destroyable, so you'll have to explore until you learn where everything is. Goggles have a short range so get close to whatever you want to reveal or it won't work.

Edit: In some story missions, only melee weapons will destroy the object.

Just to let you know, there are a couple of places with boxes you can't get to even with the goggles. On the mission "Stolen Weapon", on a few variations of the map, there are boxes that are behind some rocks that cannot be broken or gone around. This is because originally the moatoob missions were much longer and the maps were redone to make everything more streamlined. In some cases the streamlining of the maps did not include removing items that were in the original locations. The same is also true for the maps "Desert Terror" and "System Defense", although the boxes on that map are harder to see in their original locations.

Then there are boxes that will always be empty due to their placement on the map. The most obvious example of this is on Desert Terror where there are a box on the third block that is always empty, supposedly due to the contents of the box being dropped behind an invisible wall that cannot be walked into. There are other boxes that are affected by the same problem on Desert Terror, however they are map dependent while the box on block 3 is always there no matter which map variation you receive. Another map that is commonly affected by this "invisible wall prevents box access" is Flowery Pursuit in Neudaiz.

It's good to know which boxes are accessible through the use of goggles and which are impossible to get to just because it saves you time in breaking them or searching out ways to get to them.
