So I've been playing PSP for a while now and I've been looking at some videos of PSP2 and reading about it on here. I played PSU the day it was launched till about the time it started to die (360). Anyways I'm bored and I'm on my computer wanting to know about PSP2 because I'm hyped for it and I'm currently working on my PSP character. Can ya'll tell me what features and what nots it has? When you playonline do you only see the people in your party or is it like PSU where you can see everyone walking or sitting around?

Search the board. There's all sorts of introductory posts.

Unfortunately you can only see players when you join a server of four people. If you're interested in Phantasy Star Portable 2, please try out the demo, there are enough differences for some interesting ones to be overlooked.

Demo should be available on PSN. If not, try Google.
As for transferring your character, the answer is "Yes". You can import your character from PhSP1, but really the only things that transfer are the character's name and the clothes they were wearing. Stats are all wiped (though they are still just fine if you re-play PhSP1, no weapons are transferred over, skills are gone, and pretty much you're starting from scratch.
Seriously, you're only able to transfer the name and clothes on your back, and that's it. There might be some changes to the storyline as you being a "veteran" or something, but as I don't understand Japanese, I can't confirm this.

The big orange button should let you download it.
Extract the folder (if you need help ask!) and put that folder onto your Memory Stick. You need about 350mb spare.

The storyline doesn't change at all.
You transfer your race and sex, as well as clothes. Some clothes takes a long time to be unlocked.... I don't know how to unlock the HUmar costumes in PSP2 yet so I just imported my PSP1 character.
Your name and partner machines' type and name are carried over, though they can be changed.
As stated above, no items nor status is carried over, but depending on the type of the new character you make in PSP2, you'll received a cool armour unit like a wings or something. You will also be given a cool saber that'll help you a lot in the demo and the early stages of the game, it is the only saber you can use in the demo that can hit multiple enemies with normal attacks. It freezes baddies too!
HOWEVER, you need a Japanese PSP1 save if you wish to import. If you have a US PSP1 save, and you want to transfer your character, Custom Firmware will need to be used to convert your save file. If you need help doing this, please ask.

The only way to download a legit full version is by buying it from the Japanese PlayStation Network Store. Your alternatives are either buying the UMD version, or by... pirating the game.

I'm not sure, but didn't I go over this with you in a previous post?
You extract the file, then when your psp is linked to your comp in usb nmode you click psp, then click games, then copy and past the file that says npjh90062.

The demo cannot go online anymore.
A non legit copy of the full game cannot go online either, since the game now requires a code to be registered to the an account.
You're welcome!
