Has anyone compiled a list of drops in the game yet?

I was actually thinking about making a list of what drops what, but I don't think I've found enough stuff to do that yet.

There's always PSUPedia (http://psupedia.info/PSP2:Phantasy_Star_Portable_2) for this info. Edit it as you find more info.

Been using there since I've started and it's lacking quite a bit

I would edit it as I find things but I don't know how to use it :/

I think you have to register an account, but after that it's basic Wiki code.

I have an account but I still don't know how to, I took one look at it and was still lost

Our PSP2 article on PSUPedia will be lacking as we're shifting focus over to a dedicated wiki for the game: PSPedia2 (http://psp2.psupedia.info/Main_Page). It's still under construction, but we're getting there. I've been building enemy drop templates for use in mission articles, so right now, the best place to see drop info is in our free missions (http://psp2.psupedia.info/Free_missions) section.

Edit: And eventually we'll have enemy articles created like this one (http://psp2.psupedia.info/Badira) and this one (http://psp2.psupedia.info/Golmoro) so you'll be able to see what all it drops at each tier.

When will there be more updated?

Oh, Espio, I was wondering about how we'd go about doing this, but I still had a few ideas to make the tables as simple/minimalistic/non-redundant as possible:

- 1: Add 'all' columns for those type-irrelated drops still bound to level tiers to avoid having to list stuff for all types (when we know it does drop for all), at least for what we'd have seen as 'special drops' in the past (like Plantain Leaf).
- 2: 'Summarize' rare drops for tier X that become common drops for X+1 by just listing it once and saying tier X has a larger range (making for tiers 1~29, 10~49, 30~74, 50~99, 75~200?, 100~200, 150~200, [does 175+ exist as a separate tier?]), meaning we could simplify 85% of the cells to contain only one drop.

I know these (mostly 2) might not be completely uncontroversial, but if the pattern ("all drops introduced at level X stop dropping at level Y") does hold -- I've yet to see any exceptions so far -- this simplification may eventually cut down on a lot of work. If so, it'd probably require little more than changing the level tags in Template:Enemy_drop_chart and putting up a note stating all L10+ drops get more common at L30, etc.

P.S.: Could you add the 'Types' article in the Sidebar? I couldn't, as it's op-only. If we could get a more extensive navigation in there or at the front page I wouldn't quite mind either, but this one's pretty relevant because without it stuff like the Type Abilities articles can't be navigated to from the front page.

When will there be more updated?
As people submit new data. And when I'm not supporting Yohmei in the Great Arms Race. <_<;;
As far as new data submissions go, it doesn't have to be edited directly into the wiki. Just tell one of us here or at our forum and we can add in your finds.

Going by this, I've set up a potential new drop chart style here: http://psp2.psupedia.info/Template_talk:Enemy_drop_chart
I can easily put the same thing in effect for individual mission article charts, too. The biggest part of it would be editing the enemy templates. We could add a new parameter for "Rare drop 1-99" and "Rare drop 100-199." Overall, that might take a few hours, but if I get in the groove of it again, I could knock that out in an evening. Or a slow day at work.

I'm pretty fond of the current style of tier layout, to be honest. Maybe I'm not thinking about it int he right way, but overlapping tiers like that could get confusing. You also run the risk of losing certain data on mission drop charts, particularly when the enemy level gap between two difficulties get huge. So something in the template that says to reference the previous tier wouldn't show up in the same article. You'd have to view the enemy's full drop chart to find it.
Oh, and on the LV175-199 tier, I'm pretty much just assuming it's the start of a new tier. It may end up being a part of LV150-174, but if that turns out to be the case, it's an easy fix.

I've set you and Mewn's accounts to sysop status, so you should be able to edit it now. And for the time being, I've added the type abilities article directly to the sidebar. We don't have a specific types article just yet, so that'll work for now. Also linked client orders from the mission page since it wasn't linked anywhere yet, either.

I think Mewn was looking further into drops using CFW, so we'll probably get confirmation on those drops soon (you're probably right).

As for merging the drops, I guess I didn't explain my intention well enough: rather than speaking of a drop tier 10~29 with spill-over into 30~49 (and being like "look up the other drop on the other page, lol!"), I'd speak of a drop tier 10~49 (i.e. there'd be overlap in level ranges between tiers as anything above L9 has multiple drops). I'm imagining this as a template with parameters like "L60, Badira" (or probably 'L50' since it's easier to code and they're the same in terms of drops), where the template itself would realize L60 monsters get both the 39~74 stuff (Gigaline) and the 50~99 stuff (Hardline), returning the two drops with a <br> in-between so they could directly go into the table cell.

I hope this sounds more reasonable now; here's hoping this'd suffice to describe the drop system.
