has the best loading times for PSP2 on UMD and/or on memory stick? Weapon loading times, block loading times, etc., but I figured they're all in the "loading" category.
The PSP 1000, PSP 2000, PSP 3000, or PSPGo?
I am considering to buy a new PSP, and I figured this would be good knowledge for people to know regardless.

UMD will load a bit slower than the game in a memory stick regardless of the PSP model i believe. But that's my presumnption....

Pretty sure loading on the 2000 and 3000 will be faster than a 1000 due to the cache feature, at least when I play with my 1000 and 3000 the 3000 loads much faster. Cant speak for the PSPGo.
The fastest combination is probably a PSP3000 or PSPGo with the digital copy, when I play on my 3000 with the digital copy there is zero weapon loading (it is seriously an instant switch) and very short loading when going to a new block etc.
i play with 1000 and psn version.
its also zero loading time to switch weapon.
so i guess the digital copy is the fastest to load on any version of psp :)

Run from memory stick and there won't be any lag in changing weapons. Maps will still take some time to load, but that's normal, and still way faster than using the UMD.
UMD is a dead medium. Don't buy them anymore. If you're gonna buy a game, get the digital copy and be done with the hassle.

What i really need an answer on is if infact you do want to get the digital copy how would it affect my psn experience would my psp have to be in sync with a japanese account at all times and where is the best place to recieve a psn card for a digital purchase of this game.

I really don't think it's going to affect your PSN experience whether you do UMD or digital. I'd go with digital just because of the fact that it's going to have slightly faster load times, and you also have the peace of mind in the fact that you don't have to worry about losing/damaging a disc that way.
One thing you could do, if you already have the game, is to rip the ISO and run that on your memory stick. This requires CFW to do, however, and at this time, there isn't any CFW that is capable of playing PhSP2 online yet.

You can Try Ebay, Play-asia, Yesasia...etc To get yourself a JP PSN card.

Your PSP would need to be activated with your Japanese account when you wanted to play PSP2 if you had a digital copy but switching PSN accounts on a PSP is really no trouble at all.

I still like UMDs. I like a manual, box, and artwork as opposed to just a digital download. That's just me, though.

It's not just you, I feel the same way.
Besides, I have tried running from the Memory Stick and the UMD: if you have the game install 150MB or so onto your stick there is less than a second difference.
When playing online the lag when you get hit and deal damage are longer than the loading anyway. ^^'

Yea like i love UMD because of art work etc in terms of other games like Kingdom hearts BBS of coarse the artwork will induce me to purchase the tangible copy

You know, if you have CFW, you can "overclock" the PSP, and have absolutely no loading time on weapons, and the block time is minimal.
I'll make a video of it overclocked, and not. (Digital copy, sorry, no UMD).
Just give me....a few hours, I'm about to go to a friends house, I'll do it there.

So I just traded my original DS for a PSP 2000 and I must say it is 10 times better than my PSP 1000 :D
